xoxo cupcakke 4,781
I've noticed this too. I think people just watch her videos once to see what she's gonna do. And also black people don't like her, and black music is overtaking white music. I wouldn't say that or word it like that. American pop music consistently "borrows" from black culture. TBH, I'm just surprised trap music has strangely found its place in pop and dance music
Red 98,021
Most of her videos are too long for that If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
manicholic 3,694
I'd say it's largely because most views, followers are tween/young teenagers, and unless they are gay or artistic people that age can't really understand and appreciate Gaga's visuals and songs yetGaga did try to fit in to the mainstream pop star mold early in her career, and if she's earned anything from all her work is for fans to stop comparing her accomplishments by the measurements of commercial pop stars! There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

Rap isn't as popular as it used to be though All of those genres you've listed have influences in African American music I never knew such a thing as white music existed when really white people just dominated African American music and claimed it as their own Find some chill then calm it down
Bear 7,515
Gaga doesn't use payola No but seriously I imagine it's a variety of different reasons. Some fan bases are larger, some are made up of generally younger members who may stream music because they choose / can't buy it themselves, some artists are generally more popular at the time, the song might be more popular etc etc

ByeBye49 161
Firstly her vids are too long and seen as weird which lowers replayability value Secondly, her "decline" coincided with the rise of streaming(it wasn't as popular in 2009-2012, which was her "peak"), so this didn't help too ^

XoXoJoanneGaga 629
The Fame videos had tons of views that were deleted in favor of the VEVO versions. Just Dance and Poker Face had 300m each. As for the newer videos, people got sick of her overly long, dark videos and of course she's not the phenomenon she once was. The fact that TEOG and You & I videos couldn't get certified despite both songs being huge hits is a real testament to how sick the public was of her videos at the time.
