Another website is saying this:

The executive director of the Selma to Montgomery 50th Commemoration Foundation says Lady Gaga, R. Kelly and other acts aren't confirmed and are still tentative about performing in Selma on Saturday.

"They are not confirmed but tentative," Catrena Norris Carter, executive director, told AL.com this evening.

"Arthur Fogel is the CEO of the Global Touring division of Live Nation Entertainment and the Chairman of its Global Music group."

Update 6:30 p.m.: Arthur Fogel, the touring manager for Lady Gaga...

Nice going, Lady Gaga, one hell of a touring manager.

Also, why is that koon T.I. performing? He don't give a sh*t about black people when they don't give them money.  :awkney:

Can we please not use racial slurs in a thread about the commemoration of a major event in civil rights history? Or maybe not use racial slurs period?

Im blonde, I'm skinny, I'm rich, and I'm a little bit of a bitch.

- Anyone wanting her to perform DWUW is crazy. Why would you want her to have bad press? SMH. I know he's talented and all, but she really needs to stay away from R. Kelly or kiss most of her Oscar goodwill goodbye tbh.

- People get in their feelings about just anyone performing Strange Fruit, so I don't think that's a good idea either.

Hopefully she'll sing a cover of something relevant to the situation at hand. I wonder if Tony will be there since he marched in Selma way back in the 60s.

This. It's an amazing song but for a mainstream, white, 21st century popstar to sing it might seem rather hollow and may deeply insult some people who actually witnessed lynchings.

if you guys actually think DWUW is coming out of the wood works for something so monumentally important and bigger than gaga herself, lol. shes not gonna sing whats most about her, shes gonna sing whats most appropriate for the cause.

inb4 Gaga and R.Kelly really perform DWUW. Release the video. The song went #1 worldwide and become her Bad Romance 2.0 :air:
