Gaga's albums in terms of quality TFM >> BTW >>>>>>> Fame > ARTPOP I agree BTW had fillers, but given the length of BTW that was to be expected. TFM was flawless only because they picked some select songs whereas the highs of FAME more than make up for the fillers. The difference with ARTPOP is that it is uninspired. But whenever I hear an ARTPOP song it makes me feel like it has been released for ages. So BTW was something different. It has that "aura" that never turns off. mic 1,415 Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 I agree. People may say ARTPOP has many fillers, but BTW to me is one huge filler except like 4-5 songs. The fact BTW has long playlist makes it even worse. For me the rank is: 1. TFM (obviously) 2. TF (it was released long ago so people do not remember/experienced the impact it had. The first 6 songs on playlist solely slay. There rest is not perfect but they are good ones like ILIR or BE 3. ARTPOP (many good songs but lacks overal concept and coherence) 4. It is the trend to love it like it's the best thing ever happened, but don't worry, ARTPOP will be considered the best thing ever once her next album is released. I love the album, but a lot of the material is sub-par. Judas sounds like a rehash of bad romance in terms of theme and production, born this way sounds an awful lot like express yourself. Fans say that ARTPOP wasn't 100% original, but neither was btw. Judas' beat was bought from another artist, and many questioned how much of the album was "influenced" by Madonna. ARTPOP, after being dubbed a flop was completely altered. When it leaked, I remember post after post saying it was her best work, now it's a taboo thing to even say. Born this way was disliked by many in the fan base, but everyone seems to have forgotten. :koons: Girl after calling Gaga unoriginal three times and mentioning Madonna twice... how serious do you want me to take your post? Born This Way as album wasn't disliked by "many", it is her best selling album. People dislike some songs on the album, fair enough. It was never really perceived that ARTPOP wasn't original? It is perceived by many to be mediocre. Also the songs you call "missteps" aren't missteps at all. Americano, Bad Kids, Electric Chapel, Fashion of his Love are all songs I personally love. The same could be said for ARTPOP Where were most of you during 2011/2012 when EVERYONE dubbed BTW "over-produced" or "messy" cause there wasn't many defending it back then. If you wanna talk about overrated in the sense that everyone mindlessly praises it, then take a look at The Fame Monster.
