Did Gaga get any critical acclaim from your parents?

My mum and dad just finished watching it.

 

Dad said in the promo clips beforehand "she sounded pretty good" and during the actual thing he said her voice was very clear. Not much apart from that, but that's a good sign for him. If he's quiet, it means he's impressed, he just doesn't like to show it. When I said that the Climb E'vry Mountain bit brought a tear to my eye, he said: "What, did you stand on a tack?" His humour, folks.

 

Mum started off by saying she was doing really well so far. Then as it went on, she said: "You couldn't imagine Madonna doing this kind of thing back in the day." And as she finished she went: "That was brilliant. That's way better than those Whitney Houston wannabe voices some people do - that was singing." And finally, she went: "Madonna could sing quite nicely back when she did Evita (Mum loves that musical, btw, she bought the Madonna version on video), but she always had a light voice. Gaga has a strong voice. And she's wanting to show her versatility now."

 

 

I think they truly understood in this moment why I love Gaga so much and wanted to see the same concert twice.
