Bebe 17,093
No.No.No This is an amazing time in Gaga's career. I don't care for the success, I love what we got for ARTPOP and I'll remember it fondly despite what others may think of it. I wouldn't want to touch her work with Tony and this Oscar performance for anything. Frankly even if ARTPOP smashed, C2C and the Oscars performance have still cemented her as above any fickle pop trends. She showed she has the raw talent to stay for the long haul. jsn 1,648
Noooooooooo way Considering how amazing last night was and how some are calling it a career highlight, it's much more important And t b q h last night's performance had me smiling so hard and being much happier than ARTPOP did in its entire run lol
Bebe 17,093
im gonna be honest here, YAS Judging you
GypsyPrince 237
ARTPOP's success would've done nothing for her career other than making a little bit more fans wet in their pants. That's about it. What these fans didn't realise, however, that her path in C2C and subsequent performances made her more relatable and connected to the majority of the audience that doesn't go "YAS" and check Billboard every 5 minutes. So yes, while I'm still upset ARTPOP didn't get the success (i feel) it deserved, i wouldn't trade a "what if" for a "what has happened" moment. The Child 18,997
C2C era and the oscar performance are giving me Evita/Ray Of Light teas, her comeback is coming soon and now she's much more confident, she doesn't feel the need to hide behind crazy outfits and more than anything she is finally confident at 100% in her vocals and she's showing it. Bradley 59,063
If ARTPOP -> another pop album, NO. I want her to prove to the world that she is not ordinary artist.
Spock 20,290
The fact that ARTPOP can't remain in the past and some people can't move on....... who will love me when the night is over
Dijinseven 11
No. I think ARTPOP's reception had a profound impact on Gaga and to the Monsters...If not for ARTPOP's "underperformance," I guess she wouldn't really fully appreciate the "we love her again" moments she's enjoying right now. Monsters who stuck with her through the ARTPOP era would truly understand and savor these moments of success because they've been with Gaga during the worst times, and I think that's something to be really proud of. JaysAMess 27,843
Ew no. The Oscars performance finally proved that Gaga is more than just a meat dress, an egg or an OTT outfit and performance. She's proved to those who doubted her that she IS vocally talented and that she runs circles around most of the current pop girls. It confuses me why anyone would want to trade such a special moment for the success of an album that was extremely disappointing. Nop.. ARTPOP is iconic the way it is..... Now she is in a new chapter. lol.
HighwayGuy 1,498
If ARTPOP had smashed Gaga wouldn't have changed direction and carried on with EDM without using proper instruments and not trying very hard for a 'comeback' either, so the next album would have inevitably flopped
Raikou 1,169
I wouldn't change a thing, I'm so proud of her and all of her albums.

OT: Even though the media tore it to shreds and made it seemed like the biggest flop in the history of flops, it really wasn't that bad. It's only because her past albums sold so much that she got so much criticism. I personally love ARTPOP, even if the era was a mess. I also love C2C, and the Oscar performance was out of this world. so no, I wouldn't
