I don't think I've ever been more proud to be a Monster...

I had chills all over from the first note to that last one...

Me too! Seriously I'm just bursting with pride and happiness for her. The performance was pure perfection.

Unfortunately, I don't like the way things are going on. They "all" praise her because she's done something conventional and toned it down to the point where there's no Gaga in what I saw in that performance.

They will bash her again as soon as she becomes "Gaga" again, bookmark me

Wasn't it Gaga though? It was unexpected. The art of Gaga isn't necessarily all of the avant garde. The essence of Gaga is, you'll never know what she will do next. It was to me, the perfect Gaga performance.

I cried when Gaga cried right after her perf, before Julie Andrews came onstage.  I felt an "it's all worth it" kind of emotion in her face after all the sh*t she had to go through during the ARTPOP era, and at that moment people were giving her a standing ovation.  I'm so proud of her.

And my eyes got wet when Julie Andrews came on stage...

This was the moment we all waited for.. The Grammys were nothing compared to this. It was nice to see her solo for the first time in a while...

Paws Up!

Desperado

I don't believe "having talent = having a good voice" but okay. I don't like the way Gaga plays it safe since last year just to please more people. Wasn't she the one who said "I want the world to remember how uncomfortable I made people feel" ? I simply don't like the way it's all going on and I just cannot stand the fact that her "little monsters" are coming back for her just because the media likes this new version of hers.

So the fans can't get bore of her being weird too? i mean every artist must show versatility, so her showing this side of her is just going to benefit her. And u can check in the itunes thread that people are buying her albums for this. And can't her fans comeback over this? she really did great it moved everyone, and made every hater seethe. None of their faves can do this like Lady Gaga because even she being "normal" in the performance, she's still there, the movements, the stage present, the hair and her clothes.

I wouldn't say she played it safe at all. She took away every piece of distractor and the focus was 100% on every single note she sang, and she sang in a style that nobody thought she could do in front of a global audience with zero room for error. Gaga is  shocking people but in a different way; it always was and still is totally Gaga. Maybe she didn't explode in blood or fly up through the rafters, but it'd be silly if that was how we defined her as a performer because she's so much more versatile and capable than that.

"Wearing an elaborate gown and long silver-blond hair, the pop star cranked her vocal power  and her mega-watt smile  to full, beautiful blast as she sang bits of "Edelweiss," "My Favorite Things" and, of course, "Climb Ev'ry Mountain."""
