XoXoJoanneGaga 629
Gaga has 2 sides. The first side is the best at the VMAs '09 and the other side have we seen at it's best at the Oscars. Couldn't have said it better
Sugarfall 3,723
VMAs 2009 is way better. Many other performances too but I don't want to be stoned.
PopBitch 1,218
No. It was very good and touching, but lets not get carried away. It was a wonderful tribute, and it showcased her vocals, but the slayage that is Lady gaga does not depends on an oscar performance. This. I love Madonna's "You Must Love Me" Evita performance and her Evita musical as a movie, but that can never overshadow her original work and original music and performances she created from the ground floor up for me. This is just another piece of Gaga's legacy that will stand out, a truly beautiful Oscar tribute performance. I hope her true legacy is her own body of work. And I guess it is really upsetting me to read on the internet how great she was last night and why doesn't she give up her stupid outfits and songs and keep doing this. Nobody said that about Bowie's music six years in. He was hailed for his music. The same for Prince. I guess it really pisses me off how much her original music is truly discounted a lot lately by praising her doing these types of things. I know more than anything Gaga wants to be revered as a songwriter and that is just being pissed upon by far too many people who are complimenting her performing classics. PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
This wl never happen. And I'm ok with it. The attention around the oscars performance has been mind blowing, but the performance of th VMAs MADE her.

liz89 373
Apples and oranges, one is more about the theatrics, the other is about grace and vocal prowess. Both are incredible and iconic, but this performance is a game changer for her. People are in AWE at her talent, and not focusing on gimmicks or shock value. Just pure talent. This! it's too difficult to compare the performances.
Noah X 5,250
Yes. I have never cried or reacted harder for any of her performances like the Oscars.

Tropico 4,145
Agreed. But Paparazzi is the Zeus of performances And the Oscar performance is the Mars (Roman equivalent to Zeus (aka the classy equivalent to VMA's)) of performances. :hehe: ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢
