Celebuzz STANNING for Gaga

I live in the US and I heard the song everywhere. It was on a TV commercial that ran during the prime time during the prime TV shows. I heard it at high school, college and professional games. It was used on various TV spots for sports and singing shows, etc. The major stations in all the major markets, including the ones in New York City, played Applause. It was in the top 5 to 10 on iTunes for two months straight.

If you didn't hear Applause in the US, then you don't get out much, don't watch TV, and don't listen to the radio....because it was everywhere.

Yup. I follow hockey and football. I've heard it during games for both. Music, Sports, Commercials... you'd have to be avoiding hearing it. Lol

Probably. I was talking about the US. I heard it was played a lot in other countries. I live in the New York area, which is weird because you would think they'd be a little extra nice to Gaga in the market that she comes from. Not even Z100 plays her music anymore but they still play songs older than Applause like JT's Mirrors.

Dude, I live in Bergen County, I had Z100 on whenever I was driving(my car did not have a cd player, just the radio), I heard Applause constantly. Multiple times a day for months. Z100 even played Do what u want pretty often. Applause was a huge radio hit, its not even up for argument.

Yeah, you guys are right. I did hear it in commercials.  I was mainly talking about AC radio. I know it did well on Top 40. I have many local AC stations and rarely heard it on them. I requested Applause to several stations and was usually told either "We don't have that song" or they just didn't play it.

Not denying it was a hit, because it definitely was and it surely was a bigger radio hit than DWUW. It's still one of my favorite Gaga songs regardless of where or how often I hear it.

'Applause' is Gaga's most played single on the US radio. You just listened to the radio at the wrong time

Tracking system for radio AirPlay has changed over the years. If you do the work, you'll see that Hits like Bad Romance were still played more than Applause even though the numbers say otherwise.

Still, Applause was one of the most recognizable hits of 2013.

As funny and full of wit as CelebBuzz was, did they REALLY have to respond to a Madonna stan? Seems kind of petty to me...

I'm glad they enjoy Gaga and all, but defensiveness only fuels what people have always assumed....that we ARE a bunch of little MONSTERS.
