Should Gaga change Her "core" audience?

I think she should create an album with less Explicit tracks. ARTPOP had many songs about s-x and d--gs, and I think it deterred parents from getting it for their kids.

i feel like both choices are shallow. she can expand her musical style, definitely, thats what i would want for someone like gaga who has so much potential, but the answer isnt dependent on who likes it, or who its catered to, ya know?

I think it'd be great for Gaga to grow with her audience in the coming years. I mean this as her writing about real things in her life that matter, and not completely stuck on hookup/in the club-type songs for a whole album (ike for example Britney has for the past three albums since Blackout). I shudder to mention Beyonce since the hive has been insufferable recently, but I do love how mature Beyonce's album was. Current, non Adele-type pop music for grown-ups is an underserved market right now IMO. It reminds me of how Brandon Flowers was annoyed at the kidz bop-style of current radio and was like, "what exactly do adults listen to on the radio these days?" 

 

TFM was a great example of sophisticated pop music for the most part IMO, which once again, seem to come from her personal experiences, and not the nostalgia of BTW, or a constant need to make an obvious statement (i.e. art, equality, which were great messages, but not as touching or hard hitting as something one can personally relate to).

i dont really agree that the fame monster is sophisticated. its scaled back in comparison to her more recent releases, making it seem more lean, but in the bigger picture of things, all of her albums revolve around the same typical pop construct. i dont feel like the bulk of anything gaga has created has been mature, at least not YET. im not bashing her obviously, but she hasn't created the best she can create yet. not by a long shot.
