Lol at her making it seem like the messy era and lack of promo was part of the concept :fail:

I don't think that's what she was trying to say. She was talking about the original concept in the first part of the speech, but then she changes her tone and acknowledges that things didn't turn out as planned and it became like a runaway train and just spiraled out of control

Plus, Interscope watered down her vision of the songs she wanted and how they sounded...

Ala difference in songs from Swinefest to album versions...

The ones during these show were especially great. This one and the one right before Swine about relying on your talent and hard work to get you to the top are two of my all-time favorite Gaga speeches. :flutter:

Yes they both were excellent. ARTRPOP my favorite album  :legend:

Ignore all these haters that only stan for success.

The album is a mess. The whole era is a mess. Idg why Gaga keep insisting that it's a wonderful, joyful album. Can she just admit that the album is a failure, in terms of quality and quantity.

It's her worst album to date. Sorry if im going to offend some of you by my opinion but that's how i feel.

Meanwhile, C2C is fixing the mess ARTPOP had given. Really glad that she's happy now. Hope to see her more singing jazz songs.

I didn't want to be as blunt, but basically this is the truth right here.

I know the "Can she just admit that the album is a failure, in terms of quality ..." part may be subjective, but I do feel like it's her worst effort to date. Though I listen to it from time to time and enjoy some of the songs, I just feel like Gaga isn't there... the songs feel hollow and lifeless, completely opposite from her "pain exploding in EDM music" explanation.

It's nice to see her looking genuinely happy doing C2C. I can't help but see how lost she looked throughout the ARTPOP era.

I agree to this too.

I love how she always sees the lighter side of life it's refreshing :)

Unlike the ignorant fans who consistently feel the need to call her & this record a failure just bc it's not generic like the fame or has messy af fashion and performances (yes her "artsy" looks were a mess move on from them) like TFM or BTW

It's not the most spot-on way she's explained the album, but it is close, especially the first half.

One of the most moronic things I've ever read on this forum.

It sounds like the Fame. Anyway her fashion was not so crazy most of the time, maybe except Venus mini era and that triangle fur hat/mask

I don't agree about the fashion, it was pretty tame at all major events:

And the only thing that comes to mind when I think about ARTPOP era fashion is that red flannel shirt :air:
