liz89 373
Wondering when the first negative comment would be saying she's not. Surprised it took this long given this fanbase. Fact is, on a GLOBAL scale, Gaga without a doubt is. Only the predictable media outlets IN THE USA give a $hit about Kim n even then she's not. No one else in the world cares about kim or even knows her. Kim is NOT a star, she's a celebrity. Big difference. And even with Bey Gaga is the bigger superstar, at least worldwide. You can stay pressed This! I live in Europe and Kim is so irrelevant here. People know her but that's all. And I also think that Gaga is bigger than Beyonce (worldwide). You can stay pressed I'm surprised it took so long for someone to be honest. First of all, there's no difference between a celebrity and a star, it's the same thing :air: Also, why is it that I never hear anybody talk about Gaga other than "where is she?" or "what is she up to?". Literally no one has talked about C2C either, other than when she was Strictly Come Dancing here and I brought the performance up in a basic convo with close friends in class. There's no denying the Grammy's performance and how ab fab she looked has helped push her back into the spotlight that bit and is giving her more exposure at the moment, but you all need to stop kidding yourselves. Beyoncé is undeniably bigger atm too and that's a basic fact. I'm not the one that's pressed, that'd be the people in this thread who are getting excited over a mediocre movie review site praising Gaga and living in some sort of virtual reality where it's still TF/TFM era / 2010 :roseney: I'd love it if what you said was the truth and current situation for Gaga but it's simply not. She has had major impact though in a very incredibly short amount of time already in her career, and 4/5 years ago she was the biggest star in the world and on EVERYBODY'S lips. Now not so much. Sorry.
Creyk 17,817
Is she really the biggest? I'd say she is on Justin Bieber's level - everybody knows her name, but not in that glorious way anymore I dont care how big she is though, indie artist can entertain too

Juanjo 2,150
No lies detected. So glad she's being recognized for her true talent, while acknowledging the fact she's an over-the-top show woman, and one of the biggest stars in our generation. I really cannot wait for this iconic performance!
Mars 2,373
I wouldn't say Gaga is the biggest star in the world right now, that'd go to Taylor Swift or at a push Katy based on clicks, talking points, amount of success with the GP etc. But Gaga's talent and her cultural impact cannot be doubted and she's still very much up there as an A-List star. And if any pop artist today said that Gaga didn't have an influence on them they are lying, Gaga reinvented EDM and made it popular again along with the whole love yourself/have compassion shtick which was completely missing in pop throughout the 2000's. But for some reason it does feel more special when she performs, I don't know whether thats because I'm a fan or whether she's cemented herself as an icon. Bad Monster Kid 13,140
I have to agree with this. She is one of the most recognizable name alive only behind Michael Jackson, Oprah, and Obama. Everyone knows who she is....everyone! I guess it also depends on your definition of "biggest star".

Raivo 181
At first I didn't care about C2C, i was like "Let her be happy, and do her thing" and now I see that this is very healthy and good vor her career. I'm more than happy for her. this

Sorry. Lol you're wrong, there is a difference. Kim is famous for nothing, while Gaga is famous for her music, image and being an icon. Kim wishes she was on Gaga's level. Too bad she's just a celeb tho. And to you and everything else :bye:
LoveandMagic 1,731
CinemaBlend.com, a popular movie website (over 1.6 million likes on Facebook) that serves as a critic for Rotten Tomatoes and a news source for IMDb posted this article today: The Academy Awards Just Added The Biggest Star In The World To Perform She may have toned down her look and musical stylings to fit a more jazzy demeanor, but Lady Gaga is still one of the most talented singers in the industry today. She’s performed on countless stages, including Times Square’s New Year’s Eve celebrations and the recent 2015 Grammys, but now she’s been enlisted to perform at this year’s Oscars. The news was announced by The Hollywood Reporter, though one of the Oscar’s producers, Neil Meron, made the reveal on his personal Twitter account. There currently aren't any details available about what we can expect from her performance, but we have less than two weeks before she has to get up in front of the Dolby Theater audience. That being said, if she can handle the Grammys, which is filled with her A-list musician peers, then a group of hundreds of the highest caliber of filmmakers and actors in the film industry should be no problem. Lady Gaga joins the already packed musical roster, which also includes the likes of Pitch Perfect 2 star Anna Kendrick, Rita Ora, Best Original Song nominees Common and John Legend, and Jennifer Hudson. Then there’s also a big musical number to be performed by our lovable host Neil Patrick Harris. We still don’t really know what we’ll be in for come showtime on February 22nd, though, we do know that Frozen songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are the ones writing it, and it’s a multi-media performance titled "Moving Pictures." So, I think it’s safe to say there will be moving pictures. Lady Gaga makes an excellent addition to this year’s line-up. Once known for donning elaborate costumes and putting on over-the-top shows, she’s since turned to the jazz side. Her latest album, Cheek to Cheek, was a co-venture with iconic jazz vocalist Tony Bennett. The two performed the title song live at the Grammys ceremony this past Sunday, and it was sublime. Strip away all the horns, face paint and meat dresses, and you'll notice that she still has a tremendous vocal range. Way before Lady Gaga became Lady Gaga, she was known as Stefani Germanotta and she was trained in jazz. According to her dad, who spoke with The Telegraph, "She won a jazz competition when she was about 14 or 15. That was her roots." And now her roots are showing  but in the best way possible. It’s great to hear Gaga moving back to her first love, and it’s probably this new career move that’s caught the attention of the Oscars. For Hollywood’s most glamorous night, you wanna a singer who can bring the glam. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Academy-Awards-Just-Added-Biggest-Star-World-Perform-69753.html :applause: I see no lies tbh Praise from Cinema sites/critics .. plfz Can u support Gaga on this site and Wrote a Nice & Great Coments about Our Queen Praise! Slay, Goddess of Love! Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
