Whispering 18,865
Piano doesn't just mean ballads. Think Elton John and other piano based artists, or Gagas own piano renditions of poker face and paparazzi. This! Interestingly, I've read so many comments on social media and other boards since the Grammys that are saying they would love to hear some stripped back music from Gaga. Their comments always mention what an excellent vocalist she is and that they would love a more organic album from her. This does seem like the perfect time for a more organic, piano-based album. Gaga has set the stage for the next era to be something like This, so it will be interesting to see if she goes down that road partially or completely on the next album. gagzus 15,829
if she made a whole album of a mix between sad songs & uplifting songs ala 21/In The Lonely Hour with a hint of cinematic grace ala Paradise/Born to Die and get Rick Rubin to do most of it I'd be here for it; the only deal breaker is Princess Die studio version. wahkeenasitka 1,995
I love this idea, and I agree... If she were to go this route, I would personally want to see her go more of a Tori Amos direction.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCj5Hm3Ci8c
RedHotAndBlue 12
Gaga's talent shines most when she's alone with a piano, so I'd love an album in that style.

Miker 5,683
Unplugged is when a musician show raw talent and we all know what Gaga brings. I have always loved Sarah McLachlan when she is in front of a piano..... http://youtu.be/uHooH4464dQ Mars..........or bust!
CannaeDrive 3,412
I agree, Gaga herself is rip for that kind of album, and whatever kind of instrumentation/production the songs will get, her vocals must ABSOLUTELY take center stage in these songs. It is more than time for her to show how great a singer and musician she is. "Fame Is A Boomerang" - Maria Callas
Radio Ga Ga 5,671
I really like this idea, cuz i think people are starting to get sick of heavy dance beats and electronic music nowadays
Ronk 14,762
Between the C2C era and reaction to recent performances it seems clear that the public is primed to accept Gaga at a higher level than ever. And I don't mean "the GP" in pop terms, I mean the wider public that Adele gathered up. I think the time is ripe for StefaniGa to finally appear in full force. A heavily piano based era with performances such as the Stevie wonder show and sting. More time fronting a full band with backup singers and no backing tracks. Cement in the wider publics mind that she is so much more than "just a pop star" as some of her own fans claim. Adele doesn't need "little adelesters" because her popularity spans demographics and age categories. Gaga could do the same with a more organic and less electronic pop approach. What do you think? I would love it, and her popularity should soar. Also, think Elton John and Billy Joel in addition to her already great piano songs. Gaga's talent shines most when she's alone with a piano, so I'd love an album in that style. Exactly. I live outside the space time continuum.
