wiltedbliss 915
Guys, shut the **** up. She's complimenting Gaga, and you all have to turn it against her? I feel really bad for Katy tbh.
djBuffoon 12,123
I know that's meant to be light hearted and sweet, but that's exactly why Katy will never be on Gaga's level. She can't comprehend that Gaga's beauty standards are not the same minimalistic clichés as hers. Gaga knows she looks good without make up otherwise she wouldn't post pictures like that. But Gaga's progressive view on beauty is exactly why I love her. When she says in that Hair performance that she feels fabulous wearing 4 wigs and a massive amount of makeup, that makes her vulnerable and relatable in my heart. You define your own sense of beauty and that's very vulnerable to share. That's my main problem about mainstream popstars: their beauty. Beyonce singing Pretty Hurts is RIDICULOUS, her saying perfection is overrated is a joke. Same with Katy, when both of them try so hard to be beautiful at all times, y'know that flawless skin, body hugging fashion... Vulnerability is not standing with minimal makeup in a white dress with minimal stage design. Gaga singing Gypsy on the piano with a **** ton of glitter on her face and a mustache, that is vulnerability for me. That's deeper than anything Katy could ever do because she allows her artistic vision to manifest through her body. In the words of Paulina Porizkova: "There's nothing more attractive than seeing a beautiful woman dare to be ugly." Anyway, that's very sweet of Katy and I know it comes from a good place, but no girl. :applause: :applause:

SilkSpectre0 547
Ppfft it's nice to hear people say Gaga is pretty w/o make up but when people say 'oh she should be more natural' shows they've never listened to what Gaga is about. She defines her own beauty.
gagzus 15,931
Katy's opinion is irrelevant tbh the only opinions on Gaga that matter are from her influences/idols and fans when it comes to music and herself when it comes to her own sense of beauty tbh
