Having Spider Man and all this success officially gives them the upper hand in regards with DC, so I don't think they would risk pissing off the fans for a second time after the OSCORP mess with a second tier incarnation. I think it came from the Sony emails that Marvel's plan would be to bypass his origin, so that's a step up. I think that if they jump right in with high school, the Daily Bugle, Jameson, Mary Jane, Eddie Brock and a believable Green Goblin that lives at the end of the movie to have him tie up with the Avengers, they should be golden. As long as we don't start from scratch again, I'll deal with whatever they do. :P It's better than making The Amazing Spiderman canon in the MCU anyway. I'm just keen to see who they do end up casting. Can we STOP with this Donald Glover nonsense?? Donald Glover is a 30 year old man and he looks like it. He's too old to play a 13 year old (Miles Morales), even if they bump him up to mid-late teens. This isn't Glee He's the same age as Andrew Garfield, who played a high school aged Peter. A few minor tweaks and it'd be fine, but yes, I see your point. Donald might not work, but personally I'd still love to see Miles Morales on screen.
