Versace 7,900 Posted February 8, 2015 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Unbroken was nowhere near basic for me. It was a really powerful album that reflected her pain turned into beauty. For those who are not sure of what i'm talking about listen to Skyscraper, fix a heart , For the love of a daughter. Yes the self titled album has basic hits like Neon Lights and Really Don't Care but Heart Attack did not feel basic at all in my opinion. I thought it was obvious idk because I've only listened to 10secs of Heart Attack which glamorizes the disease and it sounded basic so I didn't give her a second chance. btw, with the new Grammys tweet, hopefully her songs will be nominated in at least one of my playlists. PS. I never understand her, like she thought artists should be able to express their art in any way they want but then she tweeted that Gaga glamorized Bulimia by expressing her art. And this, "I did it to appeal the masses but now I'm gonna do it to get a Grammy nom." WHAT???!!! Making music to appeal other people & making music to get a Grammy nom =/= expressing your art as an artist should. I think she's in the process of finding her true self because it looks like she doesn't know what she really wants tbh.
