I don't understand can you actually copyright a shark costume?? 

 

If it was a bear costume in the Super Bowl and someone made the design for a bear costume which was similar to the one in the Super Bowl it would be ridiculous to say "no you can't do that because it belongs to Katy Perry" 

 

This is messy just like Taylor copywriting the phrase "this sick beat" when that phrase is part of lyrics in songs long before she made that song

Let me look and see if that is correct in the multiple threads everyday we have had over the past few months...

Nope, not even close.

In fact, I usually avoid KP threads all together and I've never been in her main thread (a couple of times a thread in ENT has been moved to her main thread, so I might have a couple of comments somewhere in there). However, I found the whole Super Bowl discussion interesting, since I'm a football fan that watches the SB every year, and have lots of friends and family members in the same category.

Would you like me to post all the threads over the last three months or so where I didnt make a comment or one minimal one, because I can do that for you.

And? Doing the superbowl is not an accomplishment itself. Giving a great, memorable performance is. If it weren't Missy Elliot and this Shark thing, nobody would be talking about the halftime show.

 

I'd be seething if Katy had actually pulled off a great show that didn't look straight out of nickelodeon and was receiving mass praise for her talent and creativity, but this... this is just rich. Not only did nobody care about Katy's performance, people were moreso interested in that cartoonish shark dancer.

The fact that I love her doesnt mean I have to like or agree with everything she does.

On the other hand, artists of my dislike dont get any of my attention or time. You'll never see me in 1D, Meghan, Lana or others' threads dissing them, specially getting into long arguments. That'd be just plain pathetic!
