PopBitch 1,218 Posted February 2, 2015 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Just watched the whole performance someone recorded, I loved Roar's entrance, Dark Horse special effects were meh, but IKAG certainly packed a punch. But it all went downhill from there..the kiddy animations totally spoiled my all-time fave Katy song Teenage Dream :emo: Hell, they could've had a highway / beach theme (reference to its music video) and it would've created a nostalgic feel but after watching I felt that it was more like Children Dream instead (the sharks were cute though) California Gurls was fine. Next, from Katy's point of interest, inviting Missy was fine, but getting her perform her own song instead of TGIF(Missy remix) might have been a mistake because Missy own song was very contrasting and kind of overshadowed at least Katy's last two songs' performance and apparently many thought Missy stole the show. Lastly, I felt that Firework was awesome. I only managed to catch this part live and at that moment I felt so proud of Katy being able to sing her string of hits in front of thousands of people in this big event (partly because Firework really sounded anthemic ) Based on this whole performance alone, I really do think that if Gaga gets an opportunity in the future, she can do it much better. Bruno's prolly still the best though (amongst the recent ones). Bruno brought it. What a performer.
