Is Gaga's voice overrated ?

She can't compare to Beyoncé or Xtina or even Ariana Grande. So it's kind of disrespectful for monsters to talk about GAga being the best vocalist of our time (stan)

But she's way ahead of Rih/Katy/Ke$ha/Taylor which is why she's underrated by the GP!

She's in the same vocals department as Ellie, Adele and Nicole Scherzinger just by comparing vocal ranges.

Now sis, that's a bit of a stretchT

I doubt that she could sing Lush Life just as well. :emma:

Anyone saying overrated isn't listening, especially in comparison to pop peers. Gaga's voice is highly trained and so shares similar timbre to other trained vocalists such as Xtina, that is true. And she doesn't have ultimate range for those that have to compare everything numerically and think that range alone makes for great vocals. However, most vocalists though have only one real sound. Adele sounds like Adele always. Same with Rih and nearly every other pop star. To Rihs credit she has improved over time. Gaga's magic is in transforming her voice in many ways and her control over timbre and emotion. Just Dance, Bad Romance, Speechless, MANiCURE, Lady is a tramp, and I can't give you anything but love all sound like they could be different vocalists if you didn'tr know it was all Gaga. This magic fuels her brilliant interpretation of Lush Life, where's uses it to great effect to bring the listener emotionally into the various parts of the song. Gaga is a master at truly performing a song rather than just singing it, and that makes her very special indeed.

Modern pop is mostly an autotuned mess of substandard vocalists who cant sing live for ****. There are some standouts, and Gaga is one of the best. Not the only best, but she brings different things to the table than Xtina or Beyonce. They are not better than Gaga unless all you care about are technical measures. Xtina and her unnecessary overdone mellismas show that technical prowess don't always serve the song.

Just like how Gaga wouldn't be able to sing Problem as well or The Way as well as Ariana

Are they still performing?  :spin:

Yes.  This amazing for her career.  She will change hearts and minds of those who never heard the jazz side of her talent and disliked her image from earlier eras.

I live outside the space time continuum.

I always thought she was underrated, the public have this perception that she is auto-tune using and talentless.

She certainly sounds better than Katy Perry, Kesha, Britney Spears, Rihanna. Not the best but a powerful one.
