Radio Ga Ga 5,671 Posted January 29, 2015 Share Posted January 29, 2015 madonna will always have her 80s hits which are considered cool no matter straight or gay. gaga on the other hand only has supergay, overproduced pseudo-EDM beats that do not translate well amongst straight people But if you think about it in another angle, the superbowl wants to get as many views as possible, so maybe if they can get all the gay people and girls who usually don't watch football to watch the show (the gaga part), they could make more money. After a solid album this year/next that surprises the GP with relatable music again, she'll be able to sell off the hype for a 7th 2018 album promoted by the superbowl) 2019: Justin Timberlake (he has and always will be a superbowl favorite and is an obvious performer. No way this won't happen) 2020: Britney Spears (another all American favorite that has a huge catalog. If she bounces back with a couple more "Till The World Ends" sized hits, Britney will get a chance to slay) 2021: Adele (By this time Adele will have two more albums (24, 27) and she can contrast a mega diva like Brit Brit with power vocals0 2022: First big DJ act (Calvin Harris/David Guetta could definitely bring a slew of artists on stage all at once and techno will have evolved around and become popular again) 2023: Nicki Minaj (The only way a hip-hop artist could get on the Superbowl. She has crossover pop hits and could drag out young money crew Drake and Lil Wayne out with her) 2024: Miley Cyrus (If she continues to make hits, it's definitely possible. It just depends if Miey stays relevent or becomes novelty) 2025: Taylor Swift (I would say she would get a nod earlier, but the new pop T-Swift has yet to evolve and it's only a matter of time to tell. Really depends if she grows into being an adult more and just continues to make teen bop ballads about boys.) 2026: ???? By this time, we will have at least one more mega artist that comes to slay us with earworms. They just are probably broke in an apartment humming their first mega-hook right now. lol I'm sorry, but if the superbowl is going for modern recognizeable acts, they aren't even LOOKING at Ariana Grande, 5SOS, Maroon 5, or Kanye. Why are they trying so hard to make this tragic boyband a thing?
