Literally, the millisecond the receipts came back, ARTPOP went from being an album we were all proud of to being: "basic", "not catchy", "too simple", "not simple enough", "overproduced", "undermixed", and any number of contradicting statements. I'm not saying that everyone has to love ARTPOP, it clearly isn't for everyone. But the sheer amount of disrespect it continues to get here is borderline disturbing.
