Jonna Lee 384 Posted January 17, 2015 Share Posted January 17, 2015 but that's got nothing to do with the muslim reaction. i don't see a black, or right wing (who they also bash) uprising against them? why can you just not understand the simple point that it is forbidden for muslims to draw the prophet AT ALL. some muslims have been threatened with death for tweeting a picture of mohammed with the word "hello" on it. because they are not allowed to create images of mohammed. so, extreme muslims want to impose this upon everyone and have it that no one is allowed to draw or show images of him, not just muslims. because they say it insults the prophet. because of islamic law. when they kill people and say WE HAVE AVENGED OUR PROPHET, they are not doing it because of RACISM or RUDE drawings, they are doing it because drawings are forbidden *entirely*! and you think everyone else should kowtow to things they don't believe in because you are threatening them with violence? theocracy? not on my watch. now you can trot out this "but the magazine is racist and offends a tonne of people" stuff each time you're confronted with extremist muslims who are not offended by what you seem to think they are and you will once again be missing the point entirely. and no, when you talk about expecting volatile reactions for "offending" you're just a bully and a gangster. i understand that fine, it was literally my point. it's offensive to many muslims for graven images of the prophet to be made so why cant they have consideration to followers of islam and not repeteadly illustrate him in their cartoons. i like it when u treat me mean it turns my mood from black to blue Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
garnite 8 Posted January 17, 2015 Share Posted January 17, 2015 i understand that fine, it was literally my point. it's offensive to many muslims for graven images of the prophet to be made so why cant they have consideration to followers of islam and not repeteadly illustrate him in their cartoons. because they are not muslims. why stop at not drawing that islamic prophet? why not ban alcohol, make all meat halal? in case the muslims kill us, because they are so insecure and frail in their religion that it must be imposed on the rest of us. don't upset them, it's your fault. it's always your fault. i think this view, the view that you hold, is so insulting to the muslims out there who aren't offended by non muslims not following islamic law and who think any muslim outrage over this is bringing shame on their religion. especially those who burn down churches in defence of mohammed. don't like the cartoons? don't buy the magazine! don't endorse the magazine. but get your priorities straight. what needs to happen is less muslims going bonanza over drawings of the prophet mohammed, not less people drawing the prophet mohammed. I totally understand that they may feel offended by the cartoons and all, they can simply ignore it! it's not like they read Charlie hebdo anyways. Actually it's not like they read anything at all , in most of these countries the literacy rates are still low, and the real situation is probably worse than the official numbers. If we start killing everything that we find offensive soon they'll be no one left on this planet.
