Omg I swear literally EVERY pop music thread (also the non-Gaga related ones) is taking ARTPOP and the question whether it was a flop or not as a topic at some point. Do you love Gaga for the sake of commercial success or for her artistry? If it is the first aspect, you are not only ridiculing yourself for being superficial and seeking general appraisal of someone you stan for (have more self-esteem tbh), but you also reduce Gaga as an artist on commercial reasons to like her, excluding her authenticity, high quality and passion concerning her music. Of course journalists are taking emphasis on this, but the reason they do is partially because they see that fans care A LOT about this.
