Divine 1,862
The Fame is the reason I fell in love with her. People bash it comparing it to ARTPOP but at least, unlike ARTPOP, it delivered instead of just promising ;) i know... haha me too, Poker Face made me her fan (TF ERA) "And I still love you even if I can't see you anymore." Divine 1,862
that doesnt change the fact that it's not her best work it's dated as **** maybe for you dear .. but we have different opinions right? but it wont change the fact that it opened the gate for her to enter the music world and its the reason on what lady gaga is now.. Pain of fame1 229
Well, TF is one of her best albums. TFis WAY WAY better than born this way except for like 3-4 songs.
michaelxfennell 1
I think your argument actually answered your question. I don't doubt the impact The Fame had or the incredible hits it spawned, however because it was her stepping a foot into the industry it wasn't her artistry at it's finest and she's mentioned on multiple occassions that the label messed with her vocals on this album a lot. It's a great record, and it started a pop movement but it's not reflective of the Gaga we love or her capabilities as an artist. The Fame made me a fan but The Fame Monster made me a monster and Born This Way made me fall in love.
zack 15
I think people judge The Fame just by the tracks on the record when her work on that era went way beyond that. The outfits made by herself and the then small Haus (no millionaire stylists and famous designers giving her stuff for free), the great vision behind her music videos, the badass setting and energy of The Fame Ball even though it was 'low budget' (she went bankrupt when she started using the LCD screens), masterpieces like The Fame Part One and Who Shot Candy Warhol, and the list could go on She didn't have big contacts, a huge team or millions of dollars like she does today where she just thinks and things get done with star hollywood quality, she had to work hard to get her vision to come alive and do it herself and she still delivered more than any other popstar on their debut album. The Fame slays.

Either some ways.. she have shown her creativeness in writing her songs.. doing the promo's (live shows) and creating music videos and how she handled herself (like showing her ideas through clothes..music.. etcc.) nice opinion tho I think people judge The Fame just by the tracks on the record when her work on that era went way beyond that. monsterdreams 1,529
The singles were amazing choices but the album as a whole isn't her best work And her best performances didn't start until TFM Haters gonna need more than a flashlight for my shade

monsterdreams 1,529
but the "era as a whole" is amazing right? ;) good old days.. Were we talking about the album or the era because I definitely think when it comes to the era she proved her artistry but I thought we were just discussing the album which is quite enjoyable yet quite generic? One last thing, dislike does not equal underappreciate.
leecy 1,476
i just recently read the other threads regarding about "The Fame" album, i noticed that some of you guys easily say that i should not exist..worst album of hers.. etc etc. Why will you say that? (im not saying its her best.. maybe for you.. but learn to appreciate cuz its gaga's work) It's simply because ARTPOP deserves more.
