Morphine Prince 106,045
I hate that it's overused. It's become so damn basic. There are plenty of great pictures that are newer they could use.
angelduuh 490
I kneeew it was that one I like it, it's not a bad picture, it's just that some news use it to talk about her and it's a pretty old picture
Ara Gem 44
i think it's beautiful but they should use newer pictures for articles and news and stuff like that
Goldfish 579
That wasn't Stefani Germanotta. That was a commercial product that evolved around a persona named Lady Gaga. She's now trying to be herself as possible as she can, she's trying to tell people that the old Lady Gaga is gone, and she's know back to Stefani, the true "her". describes the whole fame era, tbh i hated her entire look during 2008/early2009 and the picture is horrible thats why I invented post-its
Paper Gangsta 6,693
Honestly It's Gaga fault. She was on the top during that era and obviously people will remember that consistent look she had rather than billion of different ones she had during AP
Dylanica 15
It's old, overused (I've seen the photo used a dozen of times on Radio promotion sites and radio stations sites) and ****.It should some up to date photo or something "generally liked by us" like from some photos from the BTW era. Born To Slay 10,996
That'd be like using pictures of Britney from 2004 in current articles about her, if the story is recent, show a recent picture.
djBuffoon 12,120
To the average listener, that would be the first pic they would recognize her from. But, I feel that the photo is incredibly basic, artificial, and does her no justice as an artist. It doesn't annoy me per se, it just makes me wish that people would see her as something more than some average blonde pop star.

Hewkah 48
It's simply what the General Public mostly remember her for. I'm sorry, but nothing in the past 4 years has been memorable enough, in my opinion. We had the massive blackout era in 2012, followed by ARTPOP. During ARTPOP, we had many elaborate and 'artsy' appearances, but Gaga's random looks for different occasions didn't fit originality. What I'm saying is: she didn't really have a 'look' for the ARTPOP era. I'd say the only thing that comes remotely close is the sea-shell bikini outfit with the huge wig. The Fame Era saw this platinum blonde girl with bangs. It was very evident and consistent. She also, of course, had the short blonde hair with bangs which I'd say is almost as well known as the long haired version. It also must be noted how different she looked during her early years - there was no other pop girl in the game who looked like her. People remember that. It was her trade mark - it was entirely original. For me the image is extremely striking. I really like it. But just looking at it now in 2015 shows how far she's come. However, Gaga isn't a product of herself anymore - hell, she shouldn't even call herself Lady Gaga anymore. She's nothing like she used to be in terms of artistry and/or fashion. At this point, I'd think changing her stage name to Stefani would be more fitting. Still, this picture is extremely old and tiring now for many people. I'm sure the GP would recognize her even if they used a picture anywhere between 2009 - 2011. I say this on the sole basis that she's no where near as popular as she once was, and she's almost of completely different character in some respects. So, to a degree, I can see why the media sometimes like to use it.
HausOfAntonio 8,021
It bothers me because they should know this pic instead or any photo from that day YAAAAAASSSSSS OMG I STAN FOR THIS LOOK SO HARD :nooo:
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
It's a nice picture, better they use that than a Venus picture or some **** The thing is Gaga's main iconography is still blonde bangs and sunglasses. After The Fame era she never settled on a look long enough for it to become truly iconic. For example when people think of David Bowie they think of this: That's a truly striking and iconic look that really represents what he was all about as an artist. Gaga's iconic look might seem a little basic compared to the amazing looks that came later in the TFM and BTW eras but I guess she only has herself to blame for not using any of them extensively enough to be burned into the GP's brains. xoxo cupcakke 4,781
Because that's GaGa, not Gaga. Also, that picture was used everywhere on YouTube back in 08, 09, 10 and even 11 on lyric videos made by people for Gaga's song with the Comic Sans font and the fade transitions way overdone. Also, she just seems so dull in this pic conpared to others of the same era
