Like I love Gaga, otherwise I wouldn't be here, but why are you guys so insecure? :emma: The other artists' success does not invalidate Gaga's, you all need to chill.

I mean, isn't it a great thing that Gaga had such an impact in the game? If anything, it should only show what she was capable of.

Should I remind you you all got pissed off when Madonna accused Gaga of copying her? lol

Excuse you, but Gaga has never copied anyone in her career :madge: Music videos were invented by her, producers and video directors are solely for her use :madge: Only Gaga can be copied, how dare anyone else put out music :madge:

Especially when it's being equally as well received (or better received in Nicki and Beyonce's case) than ARTPOP

:teehee:

Oh God, you're right, how could I even say something so barbaric, my common sense is gone

Ugh. Just no.

The most disgusting thing about this was that you completely nullified BeyoncĂƒÆ’Â©'s widely acclaimed efforts because of how something sold. Completely against everything ARTPOP was about and everything Gaga is about, while also twisting facts and ignoring obvious sales information that would prove you wrong. Trying to pit female artists against one another is also something she criticized. So I don't know what you're trying to do here, except showing you don't give one single **** about Gaga's message, which is all kinds of hilarious.

Your Nicki part is just embarrassing. At least pretend to not be a hater.

What I'm saying is Gaga eats **** for an underperformance, yet Beyonce - who's album wasn't exactly a huge seller, considering who she is & hype - is praised like Jesus.

Yet when Beyonce went down the "Gaga style" music with more electronic influences, she flopped.

I dont particularly go infor all these stan wars and such - I know what I like and ignore the rest if I dont like it. But it's undeniable that Gaga's strength of fanbase is something that others have tried to emulate simply through aesthetic.

I understand how some have misinterpreted my post, it's not your fault.

With your logic Gaga stole Akerlund from Madonna :emma: He worked with the biggest music legends ever.

Same things could probably be said for every single point you made.

Where is Madonna in this story :air: This is the same logic other fanbases use.

Gaga has been called a copycat more than any of the artists you mentioned combined :rip:

The BeyoncĂƒÆ’Â© statements make no sense omg it's the fastest selling album ever on iTunes and was her best first week sale ever + had two monstrously successful tours, the highest Metacritic score a female pop artist has gotten in a very long time and didn't even bother to properly promote it. And since when did Gaga make R&B?

So :bye: omg this is just embarrassing.

I've always said that one of Gaga's main accomplishments was making everyone else step up their game. She showed up at a point where pop music had become absolutely dismal and completely changed the landscape.

Yes, amen. Agree 100%. She CHANGED. THE FACE. OF MUSIC.

Period.

Firstly, metacritic isn't a thing.

I never said beyonce stole akerlund, but she worked with him and others. Did I lie?

So BeyoncĂƒÆ’Â© gets praised as jesus yet only sells 5m. How isn't this underwhelming for the goddess of music? 5m... is that it?

The thread isn't about "copycats" if you've read the posts ive made rather than responses.

The thread refers to the way these women approach their core fanbase & how that shows through success.

Nicki tried relying on her name to sell an album that went in a different direction. Like gaga did on btw.
