I never said Iggy jacked Azealia's name, butI won't deny that she did either. I am saying that they do have to same name, Azealia was born with hers, Iggy made hers up. Where Iggy jacked the name or not is irrelevant (kinda), but its the same name.

And heres the infamous line B5PsH7CIYAA3KrJ.jpg

Which she partly jacked from Kendrick Lamar, which ironically harkens back to the point of the smudging of black art and culture. And how is she the Queen of Hip Hop? Because she had a couple hits on the POP charts? And every single critic agrees that TNC is subpar when compared to BWET or TPP. And I know you've said you don't base your opinion off of critics, which is great, but these people are professionals, their opinions stands for something, otherwise they wouldnt be there. Iggy as a rapper just pales in comparison to a lot other rappers of ANY race, especially with all the songs that came out after Work. Her whiteness helped her because the label executes saw her as a product for people who don't want their rappers black, which is most of the pop audience. She can get her butt done, throw on a mock accent, twerk on stage, and spit the simplest verses over poppy beat, and the pop audience eats it up as hip hop. But its not real Hip Hop, its commercialized, pop's regurgitated idea of Hip Hop. So when Iggy gets a hit on the POP charts, and all of sudden "Hip Hop Is White" it is a big middle finger to the art that the black community created.

Well, as it was from a mixtape, artists are allowed to use samples and directly rip off other artists and it doesn't matter. As for the song itself, well, yes, that line still is problematic, but the context of it makes it somewhat better. Just like I said, rappers frequently use controversial words purely to shock. Rappers have been joking about rape and murder for years, but suddenly racism is considered off-limits? Not that I'm condoning any of these things, but if rape and murder can get a pass, why not racism? Not going to lie, I used to always have this problem with Iggy that she was potentially racist due to those tweets that got pulled up, but then I found that they were from 2011 and earlier and she's never written anything like that since, so I'm prepared to believe she's changed. And I found those comments more ignorant and just not something you'd tweet about as opposed to actually racist. It looks like she's learned a lesson about online decorum since then. I don't genuinely think she's the queen of rap (and not everyone agrees how these titles should be dished out) but I am saying that if the most successful current rapper is the queen, then she's it. She's even more successful than Nicki in this moment, and there's no one else that even comes close. Not my definition of a queen, but it's an understandable definition for many. I didn't like Azealia's album and I thought Nicki's was ok. Iggy's was the best this year for me, and it wasn't like I set out to like her but she's grown on me and her Reclassified tracks (apart from Trouble) are brilliant. I don't think she's the best rapper or even the best female rapper, but she fits my taste for the moment. I notice you support Nicki a lot but her album is still heavily pop influenced. It seems she can't rap without a pop beat backing it 75% of the time. It's difficult to find a mainstream female who doesn't rely on pop rap. Iggy is sometimes even more hip hop than Nicki. And Nicki's been marketing herself as a whitewashed black woman since she became famous. It's only now she's going back to her roots. And she's being touted as the best representation of a black woman in music?

Exactly, Iggy fits the bill for people who want their rap music water down. I believe you've said the reason why you disliked BWET was because it is "too experimental" for your taste, and thats fine, not everyone is going to understand her craft, Interscope sure didn't. Iggy is in no way more hip hop than Nicki, even on Nicki's more pop records like PnP or Bed of Lies her rap verses are better than Iggys and on her Urban records like Shanghai, Want Some More, Win Again, she DEMOLISHES Iggy. Even when Iggy tries to be Urban like on Iggy Szn, it just comes off like a parody or a caricature. But AGAIN the main issue isn't about Iggy. Its about how black lives, black issues, and black art is treated in America. And people, Iggy included, shouldn't mock Azealia for feeling so strongly for her own people.

Well duh, its called Damage control. For her to think it was okay in the first place speaks more volumes than a forced apology.

How do you know it's forced if it's from 2012 when she didn't know that she'll be known or successful as she is now?

So its okay to be racist if you don't think no one will ever figure it out?

Hey I don't give a **** about her or AB. I'm just saying she apologized long time ago and says she regrets it, and you guys keep bringing it up; so what else she's suppose to do?

I don't know how you made that conclusion. I just said you can't know if the apology is forced because it didn't happen now when people are calling her out, but back in 2012.

Nah. AB fans and Iggy haters are only using this to actually go against her for an actual (poor) reason 6PVcLn1.png

It's a losing battle baby. Even if they understood, it wouldn't change anything. The problem is bigger than gagadaily.

I say stop wasting your time.
