As cool as it would be for her to do something that tilts more left field, I find it hard to believe she'll ever really commit to that or anything drastic enough to sound this offbeat. Even though I like ARTPOP, it was a complacent sort of enjoyment. It was a good enough pop record, but not really a step forward in the scope of her own music. Hopefully this next album is.
