wahkeenasitka 1,995
She kinda did something similar for the release of BTW... similar tactic, although only 2 singles / 2 videos in advance of the album release.
ByeBye49 161
No thanks. Anyway, she has basically already done it with BTW, soooo.
TimisaMonster 31,073
But Gaga (pre-ARTPOP mess) did heavy promo for each single and the era's lasted a couple or few months. Plus, if Gaga wanted a lot of singles...she's literally have to take a year off before the album release for each single to get its own time and era. Like how she announced ARTPOP in Aug/Sept of 2012 and released it Nov 2013...she could easily had 5/6 singles out by then. The thing that wouldn't make it possible is that Interscope wouldn't allow the album to be promoted like that. Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! freebit 6,240
IDK. We'll see how Marina's goes, but there's always the possibility of say, the first or second single doing well, then the follow up singles doing abysmally - thus killing any hype by the time the album release date rolls around. PatrickMonster 6,499
Froot is one of the only singles in mainstream digital music history that couldn't even chart in ANY charts around the world... she's not doing things right I guess
uo111 5,265
No god please no. She needs to release like Rihanna. Release the song a month early and then drop the album and release a second single a month after that. This whole, three months between lead single and album thing is no good. Taylor Swift did this for Red except, it was over the course of a month, not 5 freaking months
AlphaMonster 1,806
Little Managers strike again =D I think she should release it in a way that none of us would anticipate or think of just like Beyoncé did... That is a type of thing that Gaga should do...
Free My Mind 2,209
Gaga already markets music differently than other artists. Usually, an artist will release an album and then tour it straight away. Release singles while on tour and stuff too. I like that Gaga gives the tour it's own era kind of. To me, the BTWB era was seperate from the BTW era - same for ARTPOP. HERES WHATS PERFECT FOR ME:1st Single and Video - February 2016 GRAMMYS debut **Lot's of promo for the single/upcoming album. Performances on shows etc.** ALBUM RELEASE - Late March 2016 HOWARD STERN INTERVIEW2nd Single and Video - May 2016 **Performances of the second single on shows** 3rd Single and Video - August 2016 VMA Debut of 3rd Single **PERFORMANCES/INTERVIEWS** MONSTER HALL STYLE ONE OFF TELEVISED SHOW - August 2016 ANNOUNCE: Deluxe Version of Album, 3 more tracks ---SHORT BREAK--- RELEASE of 4th Single (from deluxe) - November 2016 Thanksgiving Special - November 2016 DELUXE VERSION RELEASE - November 2016 ---SHORT BREAK--- 5th and final single/video release - February 2016 Announce Tour - February 2016 Promo the fifth single, another Grammy's performance perhaps? TOUR STARTS MAY 2017 I really don't want to hear any more than 2 songs before the album, preferably 1.
MonsterOfSpain 8,318
People would be incredibly fed up of her after five months of promo and radio play, the album would bomb. It's only working for Marina as she's less played.
Klou 2,414
The album would have nothing to sustain itself after the release. It will debut then fall off the map shortly after.
Hurem 17,800
Nope. 2 singles before the album release seems good to me.
