Ugh, I love these rings.. :legend:

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

Yes. They are cool. I think that Marilyn Manson has been wearing some like that recently too. They could be dangerous for singers if they got shocked by a microphone.

just saying, LOL

this clip is too funny / cute. He has such a changing face, you always get something different. So expressive. His personality too.

Ville is so right though in that interview above with Mozart. That is a good interview. HIM or even just Ville himself would have probably had more of a comfortable success during the late seventies / early eightes music scene. The goth scene and the hot topics slot kind of minimalizes their worth and can make them get overlooked by people who might enjoy their material. I feel the same about Marilyn Manson's actual material, outside of the image. Ville is also a bit hippie hermit and that suits him in even earlier times with writing and music.

I recently found out about earliest HIM demo called Witches And Other Night Fears from 1992 and I was shocked to find out that masterpiece Sleepwalking Past Hope was supposedly on it! Ville was only 16, how is that possible?:udidnt: I'm guessing it was different, but it was like a base for SPH.

This was alleged tracklist

1. Black Candles

2. (Don't Fear) The Reaper (Blue Öyster Cult cover)

3. The Heartless

4. Sleepwalking Past Hope

5. Warlock Moon

6. Highlands Of Hemlock

7. Blood And Fear

Or some say Highlands of Hemlock was original title of Sleepwalking Past Hope. The only copy is with Ville and he's not giving it away. :deadbanana:

I don't know how this person got this version of The Heartless

HIM's second demo "This Is Only The Beginning" was recorded in 1995.

Some of the hardcore fans wish HIM would stick to this sound.

1. Serpent Ride

2. Borellus

3. The Heartless

1. Stigmata Diaboli

2. Wicked Game (Isaak)

3. The Phantom Gate

I found an interesting review

That sounds incredible, magnetic!

At least we have heard this and all that we have. I like this more groove trance and brooding sound a lot!

I wish we could hear those songs somehow, he should just leak them. :creepflop:

But really, after listening to Borellus, The Phantom Gate and Serpent Ride, I'm so curious about what the other tracks sound like. They're so different than present day HIM.  His songwriting at such early age is really impressive. They could play one of these songs on next tour, fans would go crazy. :rip:

So true, I love all of this latest stuff that you have posted. I am indeed in trouble with this band and gathering material. It is already harder to obtain their albums than just the usual band. It will be another Verve or Richard Ashcroft obsession for me. The way these songs are coming out and obscure and how much the band has changed throughout their career even makes me think of the Verve. I am impressed. I love Ville's songwriting too, all of the time. I am that same type of romantic nightmare, LOL. Thank You for this thread. I may never have given HIM the proper listen, without your being here.

I would go crazy to hear these live too. I am promising to see them in concert, if they ever get close to me.

Did you recently buy any of those box set releases that came out lately?

@GloomGlum You mean Lashes to Ashes Vinyl set? I didn't.

I think that was for American market because some of those albums never got proper release in the States.

anyway, good morning :green:
