Is this one new too?

It looks recent. That person is from Russia, it must be.

Oh I love it. Thank you!

Thank you, I haven't seen it.

omg it's so funny, they said that Ville didn't scare Kosmo, he has a reputation of not being the easiest band leader.:D

And Jukka said he(Ville) changed for the better since he left the "vices" and is now more positive and everything is going smoothly.

And that he can't wait to make new music with them starting next year!

I can imagine Ville being very difficult, I was watching this doc last night

there is some translation for you in comments under first video.

He's all the time with the bottle, he sounds very pretentious. Idk how to explain. But you can compare with more recent interviews that he matured a lot. He's more down to earth nowdays, more than ever.

It does seem to be so and he does seem to be that emotional of a person, by his lyrics, interests and knowledge of certain things. Love is hard. Maybe he is better now, hopefully.

I have seen other sources too for being the reference to page forty three, but this one seems to be most fitting, in my thoughts on it.

It is so truly somber.

Imagine if he succeeded tho. :/ I would die tbh. :(

If you find more interesting references and a--lysis of the lyrics, please post them.

I will have to watch these later.

I do recall in that book that I read, Ville was a tough one, so if that was true, I can understand that. It seemed like he is just a control freak and perfectionist about the band and it's sound and vision. That isn't a bad thing if so, imo. Plus, Ville has to have confidence somewhere and at least he does with the band and how he wants things. He doesn't seem so strong, being shy, in other ways.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

in 3rd video from 10:04 you can see Jonna, she interviewed him and then her name is in the credits.

She's also sitting next to him with the cap when he's reading newspapers.

I watched it again and you are right about him being control freak. He said "I'm the only asshole in the band, you have to be...if you have 5 minutes and you need to yell to get the job done, of course I'm gonna yell, then after that I'm chill." lol

He said few times we are the best in what we do, he thinks you need to have that confidence to succeed. I wonder if that changed now that he's sober.

His manager said Ville is great in interviews, he knows how to lie when he needs to or to answer in different way to same questions. Ville said he likes to do interviews in Britain cause they have "dry humor", while in Germany they don't really get his jokes, so they often talk about shoe size or favorite color. :D

The other guy was the one who offered them record deal after hearing Wicked Game. He said Ville was very mystical and charming when they met, first thing he asked "can I smoke here?" lol of course.

He praised him how Ville knows exactly what he wants and what shouldn't be done, how hard he works as a musician etc.

All of that is how it seemed to be in that book that I read. I can respect that and see nothing wrong with it, especially if you recall, in situations with the making of an album and so many different business people come in with all of their ideas and they want to change everything and take away from the bands initial ideas and it got even worse when other countries record people had a say so. Remember all of that about the album cover and trying to stop and change away from Ville's idea and what he wanted the album cover to look? The records should always represent the band, not the business. Ville needs his anger in that time and hold to it. Why even be in a band if it starts to only speak and represent the business companies wants behind the scenes. They didn't write the words, music or create the concept. I absolutely HATE that.

You are right, it does all make sense. He said in that doc also that music industry is like legal mafia. You can see he hates all the suit people trying to tell them what to do. And also he was disappointed to see some others bands being in it for other reasons and he's just in it for the music. Not for the fame or just being a rock star. He just loves what he does.

I admit to being surprised by following other bands and learning that so much of what they put out on albums and the full concepts wasn't really the bands idea, it was more about just the artist that they picked to come up with the artwork to accompany the albums. I had always thought that stuff like that would be decided and laid out by the band and that they might hire an artist to draw out their [ the bands] idea, since of course, not every musician is going to be great at drawing or painting and design. That surprised me a lot and the video ideas as well, that they represent more of the directors idea than the band.

I am a control freak, so all of that would get to me, if I am trying to be represented by my work and have to stand behind everything about it.

I love this video, but the direction is so weird and doesn't really make sense. The girl comes out near the end and just looks like she is thrown out there, like to the wolves and stumbles. It reminds me of something totally funny and strange.

It makes me think of Charles Manson and his cult of girls and how they saw him and did all that he asked, I guess because it looks hippie and Ville looks like a cult angel directing her and then the lyrics. I love it and that it made me think of that bizarre idea.lol

but this other one makes sense with the video direction.

I like both, but I have to say that I like this laser one most, out of all of them.

I would love to direct music videos myself.

I am watching now, but now that I am watching, I have already watched this documentary before, lol

I also just noticed that Sandra Mittica is in part 2 giving Ville an interview, in bed with Santa hats. I recognize her now.

naughty naughty~

The music biz does seem mafia world.

I guess HIM was being promoted during that time with that glam rock resurrection, Placebo and Marilyn Manson was doing Mechanical Animals. There were many of those types around that time, all wearing makeup and looking prettier than girls. Most of those bands or time periods are forgotten now. Makeup isn't bad :D

I love this remix~

I don't think that's Sandra! They do look similar, but I think this one is some German girl, I can't find all the photos. Sandra had a bit bigger nose. Also I find it funny how they were almost never seen together. It was mostly only her posting photos on social media, wearing his clothes, his ring or holding his hand.

You probably saw these

She did meet the band long time ago and interviewed Burton. But there is nothing about interview with Ville. Some say she was a groupie. There are pics of her with other guys. Fans make up all kind of theories. lol
