Gaga first heard the DWUW guitar groove in October 2012 on a flight to Milan so I suppose by the end of the year that was to be included.

Interesting read but I love how some people say their opinions on something totally unconfirmed as if they were facts :toofunny:

I think we definitely know songs like; Sexxx Dreams, Aura, MJH, GUY, Applause, Tea, Ratchet/Red Flame were also planned for the album as Gaga mentioned these right at the beginning in 2012/2013 however I believe after she broke her hip her whole attitude changed and her label wanted some commercial hits hence songs like Donatella.

I think J&D was only planned last minute because the the rap track with Azealia fell through and she definitely wanted to incorporate one. It feels as though she wanted to have tracks from each genre; rap, pop, metal (TEA) and so on.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

I'm pretty sure the songs that were to be on the original ARTPOP that we still have now were:

- ARTPOP

- Mary Jane Holland

- Aura (Or Burqa as it was called back then)

- G.U.Y. (Or as it was gonna be called back then "Girl Under You")

Along with those were the other original penned songs that we never got on the 2013 version of ARTPOP

- Rachet

- Red Flame

- TEA

- Onion Girl

- Tinnitus

- Princess Die

I know lol, it's like they say "I'm an insider and I KNOW exactly how things happened. So then the label told GAga to drop that because it was generic and to work on MORE songs. Yes, this happened and it's true because I say so".

La Primavera

Burqa (aka Aura now), G.U.Y.and Sex(xx) Dreams (she talked about these two), TEA, Red Flame, Ratchet.

There were also a lot of rumors about song titles on Youtube, but I don't think these were true (stuff like Private in Public, Candy Art, CRWTH etc.)

I feel like a lot of the tracks we have on the album were already in talks for the album in 2012. She didn't record 15 entirely new tracks from the hip injury to November 2013 lol. But Aura, G.U.Y., Sexxx Dreams, ARTPOP, Mary Jane Holland, and Gypsy were talked about for sure in 2012. I feel like all of the tracks had been at least recorded as demos in 2012 except Venus (of course) and maybe Applause.

I feel like people think ARTPOP was 100% scrapped and started over after she broke her hip, but most (if not all) of the songs that made the album were almost certainly recorded and in talks for the album. Heck, the album we got could be the same one we would've gotten, except a few lyric/production changes. We'll never know. But I don't think ARTPOP, musically, is really much different from the way it was in 2012.

I hope tea gets released one day.

"It's been oolong since I've had a sip, and I get this feeling, I need a green detox. The truth will be the winner tonight. Without the milk or sweet honey, that's the truth tea"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Zilla said something a while ago about Burqa and Aura being different songs.

Sexxx Dreams and G.U.Y i think, she talked about it early.

Wasn't Sexxx Dreams supposed to be the lead single that" would all make us pee in our pants" ?  :grr:

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssss but she never released the title until early 2013 but G.U.Y. was announced in october? 2012 i think

Aura was supposed to be the first single and jonas akerlund was supposed to be a director of the video which was supposed to be a sequel to the telephone video. And gaga wanted  Aura to be the 1st single but interscope didn't approve it

i think that fernando garibay songs or song were supposed to be on the album.I remember that gaga, garibay and djws started making ARTPOP.I think partynoseaous was supposed to be on ARTPOP,

Dope was written in early 2013 when the tour was ending, gaga said it in swinfest.

good kid, maad city

Not to be rude or anything but there were some songs on there that made surprised that Gaga approved them to be on the final cut. Perhaps you are right.

JnD, MANiCURE, Swine, Donatella, Fashion shouldn't exist imo :trootea:

Nope, it was Aura.

No one has ever even suggested that Aura was supposed to the lead single. It leaked, but that doesnt mean anything.

Whereas Gaga herself said Jimmy Iovine was on the fence between Sex Dreams and Applause for a long time.
