What was your status with G.U.Y. before it became a single?

I was crazy about the song before it became a single and the music video. I still listen to but it not as constantly as before.

It was amazing hearing it for the first time. It gave me goosebumps.

It's still a really good song but time (and maybe it being a single) took something out of it. It doesn't excite me like it used to.

Rollercoaster

It was the most obvious single on the album. Then blackout & promo & death. It was constructed to be radio friendly and it is, but the timing was terrible.

Should have put out a quick DWUW video, then thrown GUY out in January with Promo & followed with Gypsy to finish. I hate Troy so much.

I thought it was cool but never wanted it to be single , I wanted ARTPOP or Gypsy or Venus to be singles from the start.

honestly, it was instantaneously my #1 most favourite song on ARTPOP...

and honestly, I think it's one of her best songs ever... I really think it's a phenomenally s-xy song.

I have always loved it... the instrumental... THE Bad Romance-esque BRIDGE

Too many people here with moral superiority complex.

I liked it pretty well. I never considered it a standout track on the album or anything. I thought the chorus was too repetitive. I took a greater liking to it after I saw the choreography and the video! Still not my favorite song on the album or one of my favorite Gaga songs, but I do like it.

Edit: I did however LOVE the "guy" metaphor. I thought it was an incredibly clever idea.

I loved it then, I love it now, I'll love it 5ever.

No lie, I actually thought the song had great potential to be a single.

and it probably would have tbh... if it wasn't for DWUW ruining ARTPOP.

oh well :ohwell:  what could have been...

This, This and this It is one of the most radio-friendly ARTPOP songs tbh
