Sounds good to me, thanks for bringing this to my attention. I heard about something in Arizona, but wasn't sure if they were related.

But hence, it's another example of a cop shooting... another unarmed man... What happened to nonlethal weapons?

Maybe this one too?

I don't know what is going on, but something has to change. You don't expect this from people who are suppose to protect you. So sad for victims' families, they won't get their justice.

Not here for anyone trying to argue that use of force was justified.

Yes. Idc about race. For me every death is horrible. No matter white, black or whatever

You have the privledge of not caring about race because you are not a racial minority.

That's like heteros-xuals saying "idc about gender and s-xuality issues"

IKR? I don't understand that original post...like, what? :awkney:

The demonization is what really sets me off. People passing off pictures of Black youth with gun and cash in hand as Brown/Garner/Rice/etc., as if it was justifiable. It's interesting that some stress these peoples' lack of innocence (Trayvon flipping off a webcam, etc.) when talks about some recent school shooters stress how innocent they were (he was so nice, straight A's, etc.). Hmm.

That user insinuates that people reap what they sow, but that's assuming everyone reaps. Certainly not the "Affluenza" kid.

I'm aware that there are people like this which is scary, but It's even scarier coming into contact with them... let alone knowing they may procreate in the future giving their children the same "values." MESS.

The Ethan Couch situation makes me blood boil. He killed four people(???) Not to mention, he stole two cases of beer from a Walmart, and had valium in his system. Big time thug. There are people currently sitting in jail cells awaiting court sentences for not being able to pay their car tickets and he's reaping the benefits of being rich and white. Wow.

I don't get why US police uses violence so much... it was not necessary at all in this case.

Somebody got murdered, and the murderer got away with it :wtf:

Oh, the threads got merged.

Pardon me for doing this without letting both OPs know about it, however I think it's important to bring more attention to this issue by connecting stories that demonstrate the real problem this has been and continues to become here in the 21st century. We still have a long way to go to live in a more equal nation, much less an equal world.

Why do you only say the US police? It happens worldwide. And sadly, that happens a lot of times, where someone is murdered, and the murderer gets away with it.

Oh, it's cool! It's interesting going through the thread and seeing all these different cases and the complex opinions some have.

no it does not. Police jn the US kill more people on a daily base than the UK or Gemran police on a yearly base.

No honey.

The US police is very aggressive from what I've seen on tv. But it's the culture I think, America is a violence and fear based society. I mean u can go to the store to buy guns, do u even know how f.ckd up that is?

I didn't say UK or German. I said worldwide. Yes it is more abundant in the United States, but does it only happen there? No.

I agree, I was just saying that the US isn't the only place where it happens at :P But yea, I wish it was more strict with laws, especially gun laws..
