They're saying that he led them "on a high speed chase" and then attacked when he crashed and as a witness all he did was make an illegal U Turn and crash his car into a light pole. He didn't once attack an officer but put his hands up and yelled asking if they were going to shoot him and BAM he got shot. It's crazy. You can look it up on Google his name was James De La Rosa. It's worrisome that the media is focusing on the riots and as paranoid as this sounds, I worry that the media is soon going to focus other negative aspects in order to control the public. I believe it was for illegal ownership of arms or something like that, but the cop who arrested him was one of the cops in the video he filmed. And the man arrested apparently stated that the cop arrested him in retaliation. He also said the cop said something under the lines of 'karma's a b---h'. Hoping that gets settled too... The black males do give the officers **** when confronted, and it ends up as a struggle with the police officers because the black males will not follow instructions but just mouth off to the police officer. The problem is not police officers against the black males. It is the black males commenting crimes and refuse to face the consequences. If you're trying to justify their actions by saying a lot of Black men inflame situations with Police by getting physical therefore Garner's death is excusable, then I need you to re-read everything you're reading and seeing about the Garner situation. Though I do not agree with the Ferguson decision, if you said this about Michael Brown, you would have more of an argument. But the whole incident was caught on camera, and the man clearly cries for help and not being able to breathe. He had breathing issues. He wasn't necessarily in shape, and the fact that his death was officially labeled a Homicide, it was caught on tape, and there was still no indictment tells you the condition of the system America is in. He was not some wild cow that needed branding. He was a human being that was wrongfully killed. And to say "that are doing somthing illegal or have done something illegal," you can use this against every single person. Why is James Holmes still alive? He shot up a movie theater full of innocent people, yet Eric Garner was, what? Selling illegal untaxed cigarettes? Whoa, now... that's worth being killed. Police have yet to name the 30-year-old white officer, who fired off two shots that killed Rumain Brisbon, a 34-year-old black man, during an altercation Tuesday night during an investigation into a d--g deal, police said. But witness accounts varied on what actually happened, sparking protests in Phoenix Thursday night as the fever pitch from the police killings of unarmed teen Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and the chokehold death of Eric Garner on Staten Island, boiled over into the streets of the southwestern United States. The police-involved shooting gives “the impression it’s open season for killing black men,†Ann Hart, the chairwoman of the African American Police Advisory Board for South Phoenix, told KPNX-TV. "We need to look into that," Hart told the NBC affiliate. "We need to take a deeper dive into why police officers are feeling compelled to shoot and kill as opposed to apprehend and detain, arrest and jail." One friend, who was with Brison moments before the shooting, said the man, a father to four girls, was bringing takeout dinner to his children at an apartment complex, and 24 hours after the killing, the Arizona Republic reported, french fries remained strewn across the shooting scene.
