Post-2011 they just seem to be in totally different worlds and it would just seem really weird to me after the whole 'situation'. I wouldn't want Gaga to be just another name on the list of 'current' artists Madonna has worked with in the past few years to stay relevant amongst young people. Indeed, the lyrics of her new song Rebel Heart say that she was narcissist but I'm not sure of that with a new album which contains songs called Bitch, I'm Madonna and Two Steps Behind Me. It would be so great to have an humble Madonna, neither Lady Gaga nor anybody else can reduce her because her only name carries something so big, she has to accept that since a couple of years, she's not the only one anymore, but she's still THE Madonna. Today, I think that Lady Gaga is the only woman that can take over after Madonna, because she's new, fresh, and that Madonna isn't immortal. She has nothing to prove, it would be positive to sing with Lady Gaga. I loved their TV appearance, I really thought that complicity could be born between them. But I still think. Pop needs a reference through the generations. A duet would be powerful and benevolent.
