There was only hate for the BTW era DURING the Born This Way era. It is now loved, and rightly so.

Better era than TFM, although admittedly the music videos where not as impressive.

I don't understand it either. It looks like a great era looking back on it! One reason people might not like it is the fact that Judas was released so early in the album cycle which turned a lot of the American public against her. But it was seriously an awesome era!

That's how it works..Monsters hate the album when it comes out but when the next album comes out the previous album becomes a masterpiece

I'm one of the few (apparently) that didn't like the album/era and still don't. The music wasn't that great, especially compared to The Fame and The Fame Monster (although there are tracks I love, such as Judas and Electric Chapel), and the promotional campaign was messy.

In my opinion ARTPOP > TFM > TF > BTW

I don't think monsters hate BTW.  They are upset that Gaga lost popularity with the public during that era because so many of the public were against LGBT.  People thought the era hurt Gaga's career even though the music, lyrics, staging, etc. was great.

Happily, many of the public are now coming around on LGBT, and I give Gaga some of the credit for this because she raised awareness.  She really does use her reach for positive change in the world.

I don't "hate" it. It was just a completely different entity from TF and TFM. It just felt like lost her touch a little bit. Nothing really amazed me anymore.

Tbh I don't really understand the praise for BTW but so many members here idolize it. It really kind of drew a line between her long time fans and "new" fans
