Why are monsters so worried for Gaga's career?

If u listen to Britneys discography from beginning to end, you'll see that isn't true. She's explored multiple genres and song subjects thru out her 8 studio albums.

really? I don't think so ..I've listened to her whole discography but she hasn't made sth innovative

and I will not stand that

what are you gonna do, pitch a hissy fit?

it's selling well but it's getting bought by the wrong consumers, consumers with zero influence

basically the problem is that cool kids aren't interested

so the sales actually hurt her brand

When has Gaga ever cared about the "cool" kids?

I think in the end Pop will be just a part of Gaga's legacy, and she may well end up being known more for using pop as a starting point but becoming even better known for something else.

Gaga has the talent to do any damn thing she wants.  I like her brand of pop music but I want her to spread her wings and see what she is capable of doing.  I really hope she does broadway at some point, she would light the place up.

Exactly this.  And she will always be the light in the room wherever she goes, whatever she does.

I live outside the space time continuum.

didn't say she did

i'm merely saying that it's useless to use cheek to cheek sales as some kind of proof that she's "still got it" when the truth is that these particular sales really mean nothing

really? I don't think so ..I've listened to her whole discography but she hasn't made sth innovative

Her first two albums were total teen/bubble gum pop, her third album moved in a more urban direction and that was the stage for ITZ, Blackout was praised by critics for it's innovation and it was different then anything she'd done before. Circus got lighter and had a more club oriented album, FF was praised for it's use of dubstep and BJ had a variety of genres.

Its just pissing me off how shes making low brow pop music, its like girl what happened to u

In terms of the music, its literally of the same quality as anything shes made previously. Not her best album, but it wasn't of bad quality. I feel like her lowest points musically were on Born This Way with songs like Bad Kids and Hair. I think where ARTPOP stumbled was its concept. The music was your typical Lady Gaga fare and was viable for pop radio, but everything else was questionable.

Yeah I think the fretting is pretty stupid tbh. No offense though.

My first musical artist obsession was Tori Amos, for example. Her first CD in 1991 was platinum or double platinum, whatever- not the point- she makes albums to this day. Since that album, she has rarely, if ever (not for a long time!) had any chart topping songs. Her albums appear on the charts but never go too high.

Her fans are loyal, so she still has a career. Floppy chart-based fans are really the only thing I can see hurting her career when they jump ship due to lack of commercial success.

Don't we allegedly love THE MUSIC and Gaga as A PERSON?

Tori Amos still makes music, still has her fans, and even without world domination, I'm willing to bet she is quite happy with her career.

Gaga made it SO BIG that NO ONE can force her out of the industry- unless she herself leaves it.

So if you absolutely have to worry, worry that she will never make another song that you like- and what you will obsess over then?! :nooo: Because isn't that really the issue??
