She will have a career as long as she wants. Gagas career is not defined simply by her being the top pop girl. Her fans seem to have more need for her to be the hbic than she actually does. A career is not defined by how much you can spend on videos. Gagas career will be spent as a multifaceted entertainer. By the end she will be much more Liza and Babs and Cher than Madonna or Britney.

Thats basically what I was saying.  Liza/Steisand/Cher are all multiply talented individuals among various genres and types of media, Broadway, Popular, Movies, etc.   That's the route Gaga will go.  Madonna tried but so far has not succeeded particularly well outside of the pop realm.   I think in the end Pop will be just a part of Gaga's legacy, and she may well end up being known more for using pop as a starting point but becoming even better known for something else.

 

Gaga has the talent to do any damn thing she wants.  I like her brand of pop music but I want her to spread her wings and see what she is capable of doing.  I really hope she does broadway at some point, she would light the place up.

Those are good albums, but the only one that is not pop is "I'm Breathless".

 

Madonna is talented, don't get me wrong.  Gaga could do much worse than have a career like Madonna.  But I don't think Madonna has reached the career breadth of those others I mentioned, being very successful in multiple categories of entertainment.

People are worried and for good reason, she is declining as a fast rate. Now I understand the ideology "if the music is good, who cares?" But I'd like to challange it. If she continues declining then she'll have a smaller budget. The music videos will get cheaper, her tours will have less props and outfits, the promo performances will be cheaper, award shows won't want her (and don't even try to say this one isn't true, ARTPOP was snubbed at almost ever award show) and eras will be less enjoyable for those reasons.

Imagine the BTW era without award show performance and appearances, two cheap videos instead of 5 expensive ones, less promo performances and on smaller shows and the tour without the castle and props like the vagina and GOAT. Would the era have been less enjoyable? The music would've been just as good so if you're one of those people who say "as long as the music is good, who cares?" Then this should be perfectly fine with you but lbr this version of a Gaga era isn't as good as the one we got.

What it comes down to for me is the complete trust I have in Gaga. She knows what she's doing - her instinct and talent got her where she is now. Her talent and instinct gave us 4 amazing solo albums and I don't doubt we'll get an amazing 5th.

GAGA could know what she's doing and I'm sure the people here trust that she knows but that won't take the worry away. Just like if the little kid in this hypothetical situation knew his mom was the best teacher in the world and trusted her ability to teach but was still worried they were gonna have to move into a small apartment.

If u listen to Britneys discography from beginning to end, you'll see that isn't true. She's explored multiple genres and song subjects thru out her 8 studio albums.
