DirtyRichHooker 352
Gaga will be writing and recording music throughout the Cheek to Cheek tour, so probably 2016 is the album. Likely

XoXoJoanneGaga 629
That's true. I think it's cause of how badly everything went, and what an awful place she was in for the whole of 2013, so she definitely deserved to celebrate her surviving all of that and coming out stronger than ever. It's sort of like a reverse narrative. TFM and BTW started off amazing and ended on bad notes (Alejandro video, Marry the Night flopping), ARTPOP started off terribly and ended on a great note with her in a better place than she's been in years. lavenderblondee 3,695
I don't think it really had a proper start, so she feels important to give it a proper goodbye.
Tropico 4,145
These last few months, now that the dust has settled and the critics aren't hating on ARTPOP and "fans" aren't freaking out and hating on Gaga because she wasn't #1, has made a lot more fans and Gaga appreciate ARTPOP. The energy of the artRAVE really reflects on the albums rage/excitement/passion. Gaga probably feels such a strong connection to this album because of all the s--t she went through but how her true fans are still there to support her at the end of the day. "We could belong together" and "My heart can beat with bricks and strings" makes more sense than ever. You really appreciate something more when you have to work for it. So I guess that's why Gaga felt the need to give ARTPOP and it's era the proper ending it deserved. She wanted to end this chapter of her career with a bang (bang) and she surely delivered. ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢
TMC 64
The sentence " Cheek To Cheek will be the end of the beginning of my career & artRAVE is a goodbye celebration to my past " is making more sense now, maybe she's saying goodbye to everything since the start not only to ARTPOP. :emo: Ah yes, never thought of that in relation to that quote. She could've been saying goodbye to the past 6 years. The next album could be an all new Gaga... I'm so excited for whatever happens!!

thierryrreiht 20,981
I'm actually glad we don't know what's next Sure maybe the C2C tour will last till July, but I don't think Gaga will wait till then to hint new stuff She can for sure manage at least a new song while touring for C2C, since it's not as demanding, physically and mentally, as artRAVE was.And she was promoting C2C while artRAVE was going.... I'm guessing we'll know a bit more with the "Christmas Surprise" she mentioned few weeks ago...

Guest
I agree! It was a new experience, and I feel really satisfied with it. I think she wanted to give ARTPOP a real farewell period because I firmly believe this album and era mean more to her than anything she's ever put her name on, and it must've been hard for that project to be ripped apart by the media. I feel like it would've been strange to give other eras a goodbye period, but for some reason it feels right to give one to ARTPOP. It's like saying "I'm sorry you never got to live out your full potential, but we know you're an amazing album that had great ideas come from it that were stunted and destroyed by other people. Goodbye, we love you even if the world tore you apart." Ya know?
