When she first arrived on the scene, several singers (Katy, Nicki, and Kesha to name a few) modeled their sound and image after her. 2. She's an extremely versatile artist. 3. Bigger risk taker 4. You can show how Gaga can do pop, rock, jazz, rap, r&b etc. while taylor does country and pop (to my knowledge). You can also show how Gaga's songwriting skill is better (for example songs like Bloody Mary, Bad Romance, Poker Face, The Edge of Glory, Dope etc. portray Gaga's writing ability.) Show how Gaga can do earthshattering live vocal performances (Hair, Dope, Born This Way, The Edge of Glory, Lush Life, Bang Bang, Speechless etc.). Is it all about music? Taylor has outsold Gaga in the US, but they are basically at the same when looking at worldwide totals. (although Gaga does have way more sales outside of the US) Then, you could look at tour grosses, awards, etc. Or are you just basing this on subjective areas of talent? If so, everyone knows that Taylor's strength isn't her vocals. Both of them are songwriters that are greatly respected in that area. They both are heavily involved in the vision and direction of their albums, videos, and their presentation to the public. They both are actively engaged with their fans and have a more personal connection to them than most other artists. I would say that Gaga is more creative overall, but Taylor is a better business person, so that one equals out the other. I don't know much about Taylor Swift so some of what I say may be assumptions... Taylor seems so one dimentional to me. From her musical style all the way to her videos and appearance. She sings quick poppy countryish songs. Gaga on the other hand has rock, techo, electronic, country, r and b, and jazz influences in her music. And then Gaga changes the style of her songs when she sings them acoustically. Gaga's voice has much more depth, richness, and body. Gaga is more creative. She is involved in every aspect of her career and has true intentions and visions for her work. She isn't just following what somebody else is telling her to do. Everything we see starts from her and the Haus is there to filter and execute her vision. Ok, I should probably stop because i really know nothing about Taylor Swift. Are you allowed to show the class interviews and performances? I would suggest you learn as much as you possibly can about Taylow Swift.
