TEANUS

It's held at a racecourse so the capacity is almost unlimited. 650,000 turned up when the Louis Armstrong centennial was celebrated in 2001. However Looks like the usual crowd is anything up to about 300,000

Only covered reserved tickets were made available for purchase. No lawn admission.

Therefore, the capacity is 6,387; not 16,500.

Sorry if this has been already answered, but what is the forecasted total gross income so far? Will it at least gross $50M if all tickets are going be to sold-out? Thanks.

This is not logic... She can't have an average gross of $1.6M per show with concerts mostly in theaters. It's clearly impossible  ;)

Predict the FEBRUARY 08 - LOS ANGELES - Wiltern Theatre - SOLD OUT - 1,850/ 1,850 (100%) gross

Me: $270 000 :nick:

Actually, I think it's: (2,344 - 1,200 + 1,850) = 2,994

The Wiltern Theatre originally seated 2,344. Subsequent modifications in 2002 removed the 1,200 permanent seats on the ground floor to allow for a variety of configurations from a standing room only crowd of 2,300 to a more intimate seated arrangement holding 1850 people. The loge and mezzanine levels in the balcony continue to offer fixed theater seats. The venue remains one of the largest theaters in Los Angeles.

So, my prediction:

FEBRUARY 08 - LOS ANGELES - Wiltern Theatre - SOLD OUT - 2,994/ 2,994 (100%)

$350,000  :rockstar:

I predict a solid 25-30million $ with all the dates counted which is just awesome for a jazz-theater tour

when exactly is a show considered "sold-out"? because for the second Radio City date, there's only TWO single, separate seats available. what if those seats don't get occupied? will the show really not be considered sold-out?

It probably/ might got sold the day of the concert, especially since some of those who go to the first date will be looking to see it again and will go to the second date or one of the others :)
