Guest
the next stage of her career is gonna slay I agree. I think she's learned a lot this era, and she's gonna be at the top of her game with the next album.
samuelzz10 0
Most adults here feel obligated to say something like "Lady Gaga is very talented, but pretty weird" and most kids who don't listen to Lady Gaga say they hate her, followed instantly by how much they love Katy Perry. Â About the gay fandom, the only person I've ever seen wearing a Lady Gaga T-Shirt was a gay guy. I want to get a Lady Gaga T-shirt, so I can help break the stereotype. I know it wont be easy, but godamnit I'll try.
Xanderick 0
Ive had a VERY different experience with the popularity of ARTPOP and Gaga. I'm a gay male in California, but most of the people I know that love her are straight. Every gay friend or date Ive had either loves her, or loves her singles, and even my mom and dad, whom I never in my life had similar musical tastes with recently told me they have a lot of respect after catching snippets of The Monsters Ball. One of my close straight friends is a DJ at a karaoke bar, and him and everyone in our group go crazy whenever I sing something from Fame Monster or ARTPOP, and I can discuss our favorite ARTPOP tracks with most of my friends. Even my brother, who doesnt like her music, talks well about her. The only time Ive honestly seen hate has been on the internet for whatever reason. And its always over the top 'shes done and shes a talentless *****' trash that comes from most trolls. Otherwise, everyone I know in person has nothing bad to say other than not being a fan of some of her publicity stunts (even I think the meat dress was ridiculous)

And I agree about the internet stuff. I've never heard any kind of excessive dissing toward her in real life (even from my parents haha)
Pandora 162
Very few people know I stan for Gaga, or pop music in general. It's just one of those things.
Ronk 14,762
May I eleborate? :) "It's not cool to like music with substance" "It's not cool to like a person who is immensely talented and versatile" "It's not cool to like a true musician and a pure vocal genius" "It's noy cool to like a singer who doesn't go as a product anymore" "It's not cool to like a singer who has own vision of artistry" "It's not cool to like the most down-to-earth and humble person on earth" I'd rather stay 'uncool' forever then! Â Â Â This ... every word. I live outside the space time continuum.
LittleBoot 27
It's not particularly "cool" to be into Gaga. But the cool factor can be a pretty fleeting thing and I don't think she cares about it. Â It's not like the whole world dislikes her, she has a strong core of fans. It's just that a number of people generally just moved on. It happens.
GagaisHotAF 419
People still think she is cool but aren't huge fans anymore. In my high school and friends from other schools don't think she is "gay" they think she is "cool" she "sucks" she "has a nice ass" or "I can't wait for her new music" I am mostly straight (I think I am bi but I like girls more) and I fell in love with her because I thought she was hot tbh when I was younger. Probably on Grindr
NIKE 273
even if people outside of the fanbase like her or listen to her, she is like their guilty pleasure artist
Shitwrecked 183
It's always been like that. Everyone sees her as a freak and never realize her talent. Sad.
