tiffa 169
I cried like a baby when I first heard it through iTunes Festival. I orgasmed INSTANTLY when I heard the opening to Mary Jane Holland. My life will never be the same again.

Speechless18 2
I'm always meh on anything new from her and then after listening more I don't understand how I lived without this music! I feel like her discography is full of songs that need room to grow on you. They need more than one initial listen. At this point I trust Gaga's taste way more than my own. If I don't immediately like a song, I'm like I know this song is good because it's Gaga's... I just need to listen more lol. How I felt about ARTPOP at first listen is NOTHING compared to what I feel about it now. It's her best work to date.

Born To Slay 10,996
To be perfectly honest, my initial reaction to the album was lukewarm. I liked it, and sure, there were songs that I loved from the first listen (Aura, Applause, Sexxx Dreams, Gypsy, Do What U Want, and Venus), but I only liked the other tacks initially. Little did I know that I would come to be absolutely obsessed with this album as a whole, and come to love literally every single track on it, from Aura all the way to Applause, and even beyond. (Brooklyn Nights, I Wanna Be With You, PARTYNAUSEOUS, and other unreleased songs from the album.) I've never been able to say that I love every song on an album, even from Gaga, until now. (I like all her songs, but I cannot say that I love every track on every one of her albums as I can with ARTPOP.) It's my absolute favorite album, and I am beyond grateful to Gaga for releasing it. Strange enough, it's helped me through a few personal issues, not as obviously as Born This Way did, but in its own way, and for that I cannot thank Gaga enough. My expense exactly

degenerate 526
Less art and more pop than I was expecting. I was a bit disappointed initially, but once I realized how sparkly and delicious the 'pop' part of it was, I fell in love.
Nicole Richie 6
me during G.U.Y. It was a slayage with the first sign. And I still can't get over it, listen to it every day
Arcane 208
Applause, Venus, Gypsy, G.U.Y., Sexxx Dreams, ARTPOP, Swine and parts of Aura mostly had me like and instrumentals from Sexxx Dreams, G.U.Y. and MJH became my favorite ARTPOP ones Love Trumps Hate

Quark 7,098
"Excellent music, I love it... but it's nothing revolutionary like she said it would be" "Great POP tunes, but where is the ART?" My thoughts remain the same as of now! She never said ARTPOP was going to be revolutionary. And songs like Aura, ARTPOP, Dope, and Venus are pretty artistic. Also the art was also supposed to be represented through her videos, fashion, and performances. Not just the music.
Psychedelic 1,098
She never said ARTPOP was going to be revolutionary. And songs like Aura, ARTPOP, Dope, and Venus are pretty artistic. Also the art was also supposed to be represented through her videos, fashion, and performances. Not just the music. She never said that verbatim, but she and her management implied it in many different ways, several times. And I'm not saying there wasn't art at all, but it fails to meet the expectations of art you get when an album's titled with the word ART itself, imo! migamiga 12,101
I was left with the feeling of "that's it?" I don't even know how to describe it. The songs felt rushed and unfinished/unpolished. I loved certain songs really quickly but it died down. I still love Venus, DWUW, ARTPOP, Fashion!, Gypsy, and Applause, G.U.Y. grew on me. I still don't really know how I feel about the album. I'm not sure that if I wasn't a Gaga fan that I would think it's a good album. I think most of my issue is with the production cause edm kind of annoys me and this album was really heavy in that department. The melodies overall were good and strong but the tracks were kind of overkill.
Sparkly 2
I remember the first time I listened to it I was underwhelmed. It took me a few listens to get into it. Venus was an instant fav tho
