Had you asked me this question two years ago, my answer would have been identical. She walks around in plaid shirts and baseball caps and has a tour with less theatricality and spectacle than a Katy Perry concert. Perhaps most upsetting is that the message this time seems forced. I had seen her three times before the artRave, and all of them I believed every word she said. Her speeches at the artRave were contrived and often hypocritical, and always came second to his reckless no-art, no-responsibility, no-effort pseudo-rave. When I first started stanning she was the only one I listened to, so she was always my fav but now I stan others like Britney Spears, Kesha, Ariana Grande and Cozi Zhehlsdorff. I also think it's stupid for people to say "I'm not gonna abandon her because she had a bad era". 1) Just because she lost her place as #1 favourite, it doesn't mean she has been abandoned. 2) Why the hell not? At the core of it all, she's a musician and if she makes music that you don't like or don't think is as good as her other work, why on earth would you carry on being a super-fan when there are artists out there making the kind of music you do want to hear? I do appreciate that there is supposedly more to Gaga than just the music, but this is precisely the reason I have "gone off" her. She has the art, the performance, the fashion and most importantly the message. I feel that all of these elements have been forgotten about during ARTPOP and Cheek To Cheek. Agree with you 100% I still like her a lot but she's not hitting the the same notes she did with me prior to ARTPOP and that's fine, there's quite a few other artists that do!
