This is good as it means there is less chance of restrictive gun legislation being passed!

Welp now I have to hope that Hilary Clinton will save us from the disaster that came from tonight with the republicans taking over, and even so Obama still has that veto pen.

I'm all for it, but her chances are slim to none...unless the Republican Party is stupid enough to nominate another Mitt Romney. :fail:

The ball is in their court. If the GOP can come up with someone who is at least somewhat acceptable, they have this next one in the bag.

I wish all these progressive young minds didn't have to live in a time with such a high elderly/ baby boomer population with backwards thinking.

I think the most important thing to come out of this election is that people are clearly fed up with Obama. His approval ratings just keep getting lower. He's at 30% now, I believe.

You do realize most Presidents before him have had similar approval ratings by this time in their presidency, and in most cases had a lower approval rating than Obama? Not to mention most of them have been torn to shreds by this time. The media in this country has done everything it could to tear this President apart.

It was the Democratic-controlled Senate that kept from women's and minority rights being set back, so now who knows what will happen. This is a disappointing day.

I don't see it that way I think she has a good possibility of being the front runner Democrat candidate and even as far as going all the way to the presidency considering the Republican candidates have been so conservative leaning for the past 2 elections.

That was never getting through, no matter who was in office. The NRA has too many people in power by the short hairs for any kind of restrictions or even stricter regulations to ever happen. If we couldn't even get something as simple as more thorough background checks after the Sandy Hook tragedy, we are never getting any stricter regulations.

Tonight's result had absolutely no bearing whatsoever on gun legislation. None!

Hopefully they will actually govern and not waste all their energy bashing Obama. Make it work now or watch out in 2 years when no one accomplished sh*t because your pride won't allow you to budge an inch!! :scar:

Not surprised though.

If the GOP nominates someone half-way acceptable by the American public, they are taking the White House in 2016.

It was inevitable. National statistics show that Americans are fed up with Democratic control after the crazy last 6 years. Not surprised at all and I definitely won't be surprised if the next president is a Republican as well, considering the national approval polls for Obama.

It won't happen. Hillary will sweep the floor with anybody and after the two next years of Repub control, it'll only push people toward the Dems again.

its a bad thing they are bunch of old people thinking in old ways and are not very gay friendly

this is ****ing stupid and insulting and offensive. You do realize Gaga's father is a republican, right? Conservatives just want better fiscal policies. Gay marriage can wait a little bit. 31 out of the 50 states already allow it anyway and we need to get the economy flowing better again. The republicans might be annoying and backwards but they know how to pump up the economy far more than the democrats who like to spend money too much.
