And you're thinking about the term "ID" in a colloquial sense rather than how it actually is applied here. Almost everyone has some form of identification, but not necessarily a form of ID that will be legally accepted. Several (I mean several) states have tried to make it so that student IDs were not an accepted form of identification, while simultaneously arguing that NRA memberships cards ARE an accepted form of identification. Or they would try to make it so that your driver's license couldn't be expired if you wanted to use it as identification (which is often the case for senior citizens). Let's take my state for example though. In my state, it's estimated that there are 300,000 eligible voters who don't have an accepted form of identification. Whether it be college students who have always relied on their student ID, senior citizens who haven't updated their ID in years, seniors citizens who were born at home (and thus don't have a birth certificate in order to get an ID), old birth certificates where the parents' msmrs aren't fully written (and are incapable of being used to receive an ID), etc. Furthermore, unlike everything else you listed, voting is a constitutional right. There shouldn't be significant barriers. And that's not even mentioning the cost of getting an ID, which is essentially a poll tax. I hadn't considered all those issues. I now see why people have been making a big deal out of it. Really you don't need an ID since if you are registered your name will be on the list you have to sign when you vote. And you only register once so it's not like they could make you get an ID once you register. What if they had Voter ID registrations at the polling places? That way you could get an ID there. Welp, Czech Republic allows civilians to own even machine guns and yet their murder rate is the same as the UK... it's society that's the problem.Why do you even need those guns anyway?I only "need" food, water, shelter. Come on over and enjoy paying out your ass for all the social benefits that you receive for free in Canada and be sure to enjoy the high crime rate. (and no, you owning a gun will not keep you from being the victim of a crime or violent crime) In 2009 in Canada, there were 0.5 deaths per 100,000 from gun homicide  only 173 people. Still, the ownership is comparatively high  there are 23.8 firearms per 100 people in the country. Why in the world would this be a problem for you?! You can own your gun or guns, but don't have close to the crime rate that you would encounter in the US. WTF is the problem or issue here? In my CITY, not state-but city, we have around 125 gun homicides per year. Then, there is all the other violent crime and burglary and theft in the US. Have fun with all of this if for some insane reason you move here and become a citizen, but be prepared to change your thinking and the way you do things, because it is a different way of life to live in the US.
