Are you standing in front of me seeing me in the eyes and having a real conversation where you can actually sense me? EMails. texts, forums like this are cold and unemotional and open to all sorts of misinterpretations. So, you as well are being condescending, generalizing and disrespecting my opinions as well. Well, "Prometheus", this is the problem with texting, emails and writing on forums. No personal eye to eye contact or emotional connection, so, we obviously are not understanding each other very well. Not on the same page. You are misunderstanding my intentions. If we were able to speak face to face like normal human beings should do I'm certain this exchange would be at a whole higher level, as it is, Awesome about the Wellness Center and helping your straight friends out. Not judging just making my OWN uneducated personal observations. Love the word biromantic never heard it before. And, duh, really? "romantic attraction exists separate from s-xual attraction." What's ironic is ballot initiatives for raising the minimum wage passed yesterday in places as diverse as Arkansas and San Francisco. Yet the Democrats fail to connect with their traditional working class support enough to win.

I think the left has got so identified with promoting minorities and women, and calling white males privileged all the time, that a large segment of ordinary white guys actually feel the Republicans are more on their side.

I think that is a problem, but also keep in mind that young and minority people (in other words, democratic voters) had embarrassing polling turnout this election. Perhaps their biggest concern is getting people who support them to actually vote.

Out of all of the Americans on here complaining that the republicans won, I wonder how many of them voted.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Democrats lost because they ran a spineless campaign. They had MANY positive things to show the country why their leadership was working and yet they did NOTHING.

I completely agree. The Democrats just ran as far away from Obama as they could while running away from their policies in the process, completely alienating their constituents. Spineless and cowardly is what it was.

 

Even if standing by Obama and defending their policies wouldn't have worked, at least they could have said they didn't run away from everything they have worked for these past 6 years and their voter base maybe wouldn't have left them.
