Britney would be too much of a project for her.

Plus... their voices would never sound good together. They just don't sync well. Their tonality is way different.

This newfound "**** pop, I only love jazz and stuff because of my revolutionary success as the jazz singer that I've always been since age 13" phase isn't cute.

is she purposefully trying to piss all of her fans off?

What even? Why do you think she's trying to piss off her fans?

Interludicrous

We have to remember that back in 2012 she already had an Elton collab planned, even before ARTPOP. It was just never executed.

You are so cute. Every time I want to argue with some of you I get reminded of myself at high school. I never understood why it was necessary to study all the details about some classical composers because "nobody listens to classical music anymore". I was smart enough to tell this to my teacher and she nearly failed me.  :smh:

There is definitely more music around than that what's on top charts and most certainly enough people who know how to appreciate it. I am so happy that Gaga is one of them.

So does this confirm that she's no longer interested in making extremely commercial pop anymore?

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Gaga never did pop again. Who would've ever thought that.

Since 2011 she's never really been interested in extremely commercial pop so this should come as no surprise, we're already nearing 2015. One could argue that even TF/TFM wasn't extremely commercial since she put out a different sound than other pop artists, her sound just happened to take off and sell a lot at the time.

It was still pop though. I really think she means she is not into any pop(ular) music anymore.

This. Of course artists change and evolve, but most never entirely change the genre they were actually famous for.

At least not entirely. See Madonna. But there's a difference between Erotica/Bedtime Stories and ARTPOP/C2C...

Why's everyone here assuming as if she said she's leaving pop music and saying "we want Pop Gaga back" and stuff?

Elton is the purest form of Pop music. idgi.

She has Hello Hello with him already, doesn't she? But OK. Whatever she feels will represent her better as an artist and makes her happier.

I'm thirsty for another Telephone level collab, though. Guess we'll have to hang on to Beyoncé or Rihanna to give us one.

"time to do stuff with less talented people"

did i seriously just read this?

you seriously want gaga to conform to some pop mold

even if it means REDUCING the quality of her work

to continue being a pop star

and recycle through all her work

and release a lousy pop album just to satisfy you.

lord god.

i feel sorry for gaga sometimes.

Elton isn't a jazz singer or artist. He is the definition of Pop music.
