If she keeps doing the things people don't really want (Tony collabs) and also keep managing most of her carreer steps she will not be as famous- successfull for a long time. Labels want to earn lots of money. Britney will bring t. Elton will not Honey, please. You talk like an expert but you're not. You are just a fan that can't get over the fact Gaga is first and foremost an artist. Scrapped that Pop part. The fact is you don't know much about power of the people. Or how big Elton is, just because he doesn't do all these electronic music you wish Gaga will forever doing. She won't. Especially combined with good promotion. Look how far C2C go now? Elton John holds the all-time record for greatest number of appearances at the Madison Square Garden with 64 shows. All sold out shows. Also, he have miles better street creds than Britney will ever be. And people will attend his shows, even now. You need to understand Gaga's side than shoving your own. We're in 2014, not 2000, in which Britney is a hasbeen, and Elton was, is, and will always be a legend that sold 300M records throughout his career and is respected by everybody. Do "Your Song/Speechless" and "Gaga and the Jets/ARTPOP" not count? I think I understand where she is coming from, wanting to write a duet with another singer/songwriter. Because let's face it, if she collabbed with Britney, she would really be writing a collab with Britney's songwriters/producers, or writing the whole thing herself, or singing something she didn't write. And that's not how Gaga rolls. I totally get her only wanting to work with musically talented greats. But she's already worked with Elton several times, so I'd like to hear a collab with someone new. :) I think she would work with another pop girl as long as it was another singer/songwriter, but I don't think she would work with one of the popstars who doesn't write their own music. Here's a fact: - Elton's last album last year (45 years into his career) outsold Britney Jean (15 years into her career) - Elton's last tour outgrossed Britney's last tour. [aka Vegas "residency"] Obviously there's enough people who care and give credit to him, and they do it more for him than they'd ever do with Britney. What does that make Britney then? Who's still being outsold by him? You guys seriously need to understand that there is a world outside pop and it comes in all colours, shapes and tastes.
