Spock 20,290
What a mess! Poor Kylie I love her so much This era seems to have been a struggle... For the show in Zurich, the stage will be set up in the middle of the arena so only half the seats are for sale (Katy did this with the California Dreams Tour) I don't know how many were sold. Roc Nation or whoever better get their **** together! who will love me when the night is over
Psychedelic 1,098
poor Kylie :emo: I love her :emo: but that's whats happens to people who make the mistake of choosing Madonna over Lady Gaga.
Andrew 375
Poor Kylie .... I think her move to Roc Nation has been bad. Kiss Me Once and the tour are flopping ..... And that's WITH her enormous exposure on The Voice UK & Australia!
Qualle1 1,385
Just read a lot about the bankruptcy of the German organiser. Actually, the information I got from the insolvency administrator is quite interesting: Kylie C#nt got already paid her salary to play four shows in Germany, a total of 840.000 EUR. Actually, Kylie C#nt and her miserable management cancelled the shows - and not the insolvency administrator! It seems so, that Kylie C#nt and her ****ed up entourage did not want to perform in four extremely poor filled venues (only 12.000 out of 68.000 tickets have been sold). If Kylie C#nt don't give back the salary of a total of 840.000 EUR, the insolvency administrator will sue her a$$! I am extremely disappointed. I am a devoted fan since more than 14 years and so ****ed up right now by this greedy B#tch. :( MAKE LOVE NOT WAR
craig 680
I think the original story contains lies from the bankrupt promoter. Here is what the boss of the Lanxess Arena Cologne says: "Geld-Erstattung unklar Kölner Fans tappen in Kylies Insolvenz-Falle Köln – Unrühmliches Gezanke um Weltstar Kylie Minogue (46): Nach der Absage ihres Köln-Konzerts (EXPRESS berichtete) muss Arenachef Stefan Löcher (43) die unzureichenden Informationen um das Insolvenzverfahren gegen den Konzertveranstalter „creative talent“ ausbaden. Slowakei, Tschechien, Litauen, Polen). Und: Das Geld aller Käufer vor dem 9. September wandert in die Insolvenzmasse. Grundsätzlich gilt laut Löcher: „Jeder Fan sollte sich dort informieren, wo er die Karten gekauft hat.“" So 10k tickets just for Cologne alone, that's good. That's around what she sold for Showgirl. The 12k for 4 shows must be false. Kylie is not the only act that had to cancel because of this promoter. The Backstreet Boys and others did too. Kylie/Ticketmaster have been offering German fans free pairs of tickets to other Euro shows, for every one they bought.
craig 680
This is Kylie's announcement: http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/kylie-minogue-cancels-german-concerts-20141020-118jwl.html Minogue announced the cancellation on her website. "I am extremely disappointed that due to financial difficulties of the German promoter CT Creative Talent GmbH, I am unable to perform the scheduled shows in Cologne, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg. Advertisement "The Administrator who is now controlling CT Creative Talent GmbH, is unable to confirm that we have the venues and facilities needed to be able to put on the shows... "I have always had great support in Germany from a loyal and loving fan base and I can't stress enough how difficult and disappointing it is to be ready to play the shows and to have been let down at the last minute." ------------------------- Sounds like both the ticket money and the money needed to secure the arena have vanished into the bankruptcy proceedings. StrawberryBlond 14,441
It's just weird that the tour promoter goes bankrupt just as she has to cancel a bunch of shows that had low sales. Surely, if she'd sold out all the gigs, there would have been no bankruptcy? So, it must have been because of low sales. The evidence is all there: her album only peaked at #9 in the country, there had been no promo and not one, but all four gigs have been cancelled. She had to cancel her Austrian show too, which is right next to Germany (it peaked at #16 in Austria). Clearly, that part of the world is just not feeling the album. Apart from UK, Spain and France, she was only doing one date per country, so four shows for Germany was a bit much considering her one-night-only approach in other countries. I think it was a case of poor ticket sales, nothing more. I hear so many excuses from artists and their labels about why shows were cancelled that I really don't know what to believe anymore. But 9/10 times, the reason is just a cover-up for bad sales. But regardless, Kylie has been around over 25 years and has had a lot of success in that time. It's not much sense to call her a flop at this stage of her career when her peak is past and it's only her fans who want to see her now. 95% of artists go through this. If this was her near the beginning of her career, it would be different, but considering this is her 12th album and she's been around since the 80's, I think we should cut her a break. When an album isn't promoted, the tour won't sell, it has nothing to do with the artist. But I think this is a sign that her venues need to be a lot smaller from now on. She was booked for some pretty big venues for an artist who no longer has successful albums/singles and who only attracts fans. If she has to resort to theatres in some regions, so be it. I know artists and labels have their pride and only want to book large venues, but sometimes, you've just got to swallow your pride and go smaller if the situation calls for it - at least it means guaranteed sell-outs and lots of fans happy for a more intimate performance. I think the true problem is Roc Nation. However it's sad that Kylie lets this false information kinda happen but yeah idk... I think the original story contains lies from the bankrupt promoter. Yes but this is only for Ticketmaster/Live Nation ticket owners because Live Nation organizes the tour. Eventim and other tickets can't be exchanged for another tour. I mean sorry... there's so many big companies in the game... Paulophone, Roc Nation, Live Nation... they can't leave those poor fans alone with their 100€ tix honestly! The evidence is all there: her album only peaked at #9 in the country, there had been no promo and not one, but all four gigs have been cancelled. The promoter went bankrupt a couple months ago, and it has caused other acts touring Germany to cancelled. Kylie's management tried to sort things out, but they couldn't. Last tour she did 6 shows in Germany. She did promo on a German awards show. Demand doesn't suddenly disappear in one country while remaining strong enough in Eastern Europe and the Baltics for all the dates to go ahead. If the ticket sales were low, it more likely because the bankruptcy was keeping the promoter from properly promoting. But the Cologne Arena guy says they sold 10k for Cologne alone. craig 680
What was the promoter again? Seems very unprofessional. They are called Creative Talent. This is what the Backstreet Boys and their fans went through: http://www.backstreetboys.com/news/218943 When you search for Carlos Fleischmann and CT on the net, you will learn that his company has financial ermm shall we say "Problems" Not only the BSB tour has been cancelled. CT cancelled a Festival and a Snoop Dogg Tour too. Currently they are "re-organising" the company. This re-organising should be finished by the end of August. " To secure the longlasting and sucessful survival of the concept and philosophy of Creative Concept, Carlos Fleischmann asks his partners for help. " To avoid to endanger the process (of the re-organisation) und to keep the ability to meet financial obligations, we ask you to declare to us until July 15, 2014 that you defer the outstanding claims you have against CT Creative Talent GmbH until 31.8.2014 and don't claim any payments until then." That was August. Official bankruptcy was September.
